  1. @Cal Cohen.2358 Sorry to bother you, but could you please clarify how did you intend Untamed's Restorative Strikes to work? Shouldn't we be able to use it both while unleashing pet and player with successive proces in each swap? Because as it currently is on live, this trait is being bound by a hidden internal cooldown despite you guys not mentioning it on stream or in the patch notes. I love the potential this trait has, but it's current malfunction is holding it back way too much for me to have fun with it 😞 Thanks in advance and keep up the good work, there were tons of changes so I understand stuff was bound to break somehow 😛 🙂

  2. I think they could fix let loose by giving some quickness into weapon swap and then some more into ambush attack utilisation, not sure if increasing it's base duration is enough. Would be a start though. Also was looking forward to use Restorative Strikes but it appears to have an unintended ICD bound to ambush timers. Patch is quite buggy from what I have seen so far.  That and some classes being able to overcap quickness and alac with low boon duration and others not so much lol

I think a condi Shortbow-Axe/dagger build might become really good, given that Light on your Feet will be buffed on defiant does, and Shortbow auto attack bleed bonus will always apply in that situation. Plus the refresh on Unleashed Ambushes will add even more condi burst potential, especially on that sweet sundering volley. Heck, even Axe on main hand for both sets and alternating between off dagger and torch might be a good and fun option. Rly looking forward Ranger changes next week, we rly are the winners this time around it feels like.

  4. Do not forget that if you land that teleport on a target you get a decent cooldown refund. And it seems we are going to become a bruiser, so we should not be able to spam mobility that much. I mean we can't ask to be able to do everything at the same time, right? XD

    In the below thread I pointed out a bunch of changes including swapping the heal from the current to the exploding spores one. 
    it would not make the pet magically survive wvw frontline but at least it could have a chance now 

     

    Okay it has a 90 second but don't forget the cooldown refund rewarded for those juicy hit combos.

    I am not in the same train as those who are asking for making the pet invulnerable, i just ask for better balancing (in wvw the pets need pve stats at least) and to provide the ranger some tools so the player can keep the pet alive. At least the new elite should be able to cleanse conditions from the pet more consistenly.

    Untamed is pretty bad and it is pointing out to be the worse elite of all. We are realizing that (at least some in the forum) and we haven't even play with it yet. I am scared to see how they butchered the elite in competitive modes. 

    What if the elite utility also applies to the pet and revives it if dead? That way you could make it sturdier only during some windows of time.

  7. I would rather pick warhorn instead of axe for aoe daze and boons and take nature magic over beast mastery for greater survivability. And maybe take WS over skirmishing, would make you a lot more sturdy on those 1v1, lots more condi cleanse, dodges, muddy terrain on heal cast. The slow and cripple pulse is insane sometimes. Sure you can't proc so many blocks and mobility abilities, but you can take a bird instead of a canine and that's pretty much solved. But I like the idea of your build 😄 i just hate that we have to sit still to cast axe 5 when warrior can do pretty much the same without reflects but deals a duck ton of DMG while moving and spinning that axe.

    Basically PvE. Even Anet themselves has, indirectly by ways of balance, made it pretty clear that they don't want druid as a healer/support in PvP or WvW.

    Funnily enough during HoT interviews they stated druid could carry squads on their backs and stuff on WvW xD

    Read a really interesting weapon idea for Theif.Whip.

    I've been trying to land a patient hunter gameplay with LB. It's the only thing that feels right to me regarding LB open world. (cue the choking gas + glass arrows!)

    I guess it is not Impossible to do it with LB, but i want something truly stealthy with utilities oriented towards that playstyle. If we can't have that i want an unrelenting Warden with hammer works for me hehe

    How would you tackle the issues that we have to "waste" CC in order to have have good uptime of this buff then? I think i was a little vague on how this change would work, it doesn't have to be necessarily like i described it.

  11. So guys i was thinking, and wouldnt be twice as vicious trait something proc when entering merge mode(even thematically speaking)? The cooldown is on the unmerge and everything! This would allow ranger to stop being a CC spammer and use those skills when they actually are required instead of a permanent part of the rotationa as they are right now. Would love to see this happen this balance or on the near future.Anyways what do you think?

    I don't think they should, that ability came from a rune set in the first place, why would we get an extra benefit out of this change when the other classes don't? It's not like we do not have better condi cleanses ourselves as rangers or anything. Would agree with some new rune that interacts with said new command skill type, but i get the feeling that this change was not only due to making sense when it comes to its type name but also due to future content ahead like the next elite specs.
