  1. I don't have any legendary runes, but I play warframe and know that in this case digital extremes would without a doubt run a script to partially refund materials used to create the item. They have done it many times in warframe when they lower crafting costs of things to increase accessibility!

If you google, warframe script to refund materials, you'll see how many times! It's a lot! 😲

  2. rpg worlds can keep going on and on, but you need designers who grew up playing stuff like tabletop rpgs to know what kind of depth to add. Adding more ways for classes to interact with the world is a way of increasing the role playing aspect of everything. A thief can find hidden doors and chests for their friends. It can go on indefinitely if you have imagination. Tabletop rpgs are what primed people's imaginations to create rpg video games in the first place! Start at the source and use it to create!

  3. Even though I mained a mesmer in guild wars 1, I have a mesmer in gw2 that is almost 10 years old that I never play more than a minute or two. I quickly switch characters out of 'not feeling it'. I just don't know exactly why. In gw1 I enjoyed it for it's reaction time gameplay and skill stealing. It might be that I crave that.

  4. I love hunting for things to play around with in pve games and wondered about treasure hunting for a relic, or doing a mini dungeon to find one. Like indiana jones.

Then I thought about relics that work on a specific class weapon. Like a relic that says if you hit multiple enemies at once with thief staff you gain charges that expire fast. But if you stack those charges your staff goes on fire and burns enemies until the fire on the staff goes out. That would be wild!

edit: Another neat one I think. It is for elementalist. The relic makes fire fields last less time, but after a fire field expires a smoke field appears.

So long as all the rewards are obtainable well within the number of weapon skins obtainable through normal gameplay there would be no issues… but the moment gemstore skins become a requirement the system is not just problematic but is outright unacceptable.

That can work too! Or gemstore skins just won't count towards it. I just wish it was possible. The wardrobe is huge, but to me (and I can't be the only one) the wardrobe is not something I use anymore. New skins in any content update is no incentive to play.

edit: I play elder scrolls online as well and my character looks the same now as he did months ago. I'm happy with my characters looks. It's normal.

  6. Every time you unlock a new weapon you gain a knowledge point for that weapon category. And then the Weaponmaster can offer new things for each weapon as your knowledge points increase.

So the easiest way to know how much dagger knowledge you have is to look at your wardrobe and see how many daggers you have unlocked. That's your knowledge points. And the Weaponmaster could offer cool personality animations for when you have a dagger equipped. Or a cool dagger skin. Or anything as it'll be an open system.

I think it'll be really interesting as it using something that already exists, and puts a motivation behind finding more skins for weapons, even when you don't care about new cosmetics. The wardrobe gains a dual purpose.
