  1. It's that time again. Every so often people start to complain about warrior (because they are now functional again), they get nerfed and become unusable for a year or so. Happens like clockwork since the game was released. Hopefully, Anet does not listen to any of you about how to balance the game.

  2. Hey guys long time gw2 player here.

    One of the most frustrating things to happen as of late is getting put on team with late starters. They just sit in spawn for the 30 secs and then finally start to participate then get upset when we don't win. A late start is pretty much a guaranteed loss in rank. At the beginning of gw2 life this kind of thing didn't happen much. Now it happens very frequently. I'd say 3 out of 5 matches it happens for me. Its quite sad. 

     

    Forgot to add, the bots. The same one that has been spamming sanctuary mid point is still here years later.

    The warrior forum mains blindly hated on the spec the second it was revealed and sucked at playing it when it came out because it wasn't exactly like core warrior like berserker and spellbreaker and called the spec trash and unplayable, then when people that actually gave the spec a fair shot started out performing everyone trashing the spec they pivoted to calling the spec overpowered and hated on it for that reason.

    I haven't played for a while. Last time I checked most people thought bladesworn was weak. What changed?

  5. DH traps weren't nearly as much of an issue when the game had the retaliation boon. It prevented DH from mindlessly trap spamming on top of the point. But when retaliation was removed the beast was released and here we are. My suggestion would be to keep trapper rune and reintroduce retaliation. It kept a lot of spam in check.

    It's not even a heal skill now, it more like a utility. I think its just lazy that anet didn't bother to change the healing when they nerfed it.

    I literally called this within an hour of the first vindicator beta.

    From the very first beta i put together the exact same build everyone is playing right now within 20 mins of experimenting and within like 3 games i came to the exact same conclusion, that the barrier dodge and the gs 5 skill were way overtuned and if left in that state would make this spec not only meta, but oppressive 

    I was 1vxing people with ease and pumping out like 300k+ damage AND healing minimum each game. But people kept arguing that it was bad....

    Most players are followers, they don't experiment.

    No, it doesn't do much of anything. Health is more valuable than armor. Remember before the mirage nerf how they were extremely hard to kill? I do. You know why right? Not taking damage is better than taking damage. If there was a priority system that classified the most important to least important mechanic for survival in gw2 then it would be armor.

But reason why class is really strong and powercreep is because it has lowest health and lowest armor in the game and it is forced to be melee(dagger+warhorn). So you have to chase the guy, being lowest health and lowest armor, reach it and then to start doing the thing.     If you talking about fire weaver you just kite it and its useless, while LR weaver needs to hit you so many times to do damage and you can mitigate that and deny it. 

    If you write like: oh this thing is best in everything, give example why such thing is the best in your eyes. 

    Armor doesn't mean anything in this game.

    Guess what all these have not brought? More Players. You can't bleed what you don't have. There are not many active pvp'ers anymore, not compared to just even before the mega patch, which was absolute garbage btw.

     

    Balance? Complaints, deletion of viability, and even more prominence of bots. The ones defending rewards for participation have zero clue on how competition and rewards should work. When you compete in life, you get results for winning, when you fail at life, you get jack kitten.

     

    Free rewards or pips just by afk or getting one stat, and the bots and those that truly don't care, just press auto run in matches, watching netflix or youtube.  You can brain storm all day, but just remove rewards from losing and you will remove most of the crap attitudes from the mode. You can put those rewards you take away from losers and give them to the winners, make winning even more rewarding.

     

    Nothing in all these years has made a larger population, or made players better. They are just afk-ing for the easy mode rewards while they do something esle. But it is ok, semi-afk farming is OK, I read it on the forums.There is so much proof that rewarding losses is horrible for competition and the game mode, but the goomba brains on this forums are fighting against it, because most of those are running afk into walls and are negative tier potato players who couldn't win a game even if they were 5 v 1, and the other team dc'd.

    Those things you named were never meant to work. The only thing that would of worked is frequent balance patches for spvp. One of the big reasons why players left spvp is due to Anet not really caring about the game mode. Balance patches are infrequent, when they drop they often make things worse. Instead of quickly fixing what isn't good, we have to wait months or sometimes years for them to make a change. Look at the Feb 2020 patch, we still have 300 sec cooldowns! They never went back and revamped those skills.

    Well that's when they had class balance philosophy. Necro wasn't suppose to have access to stability nor have mobility. But all that has changed so shroud is just busted. Not to mention the stupid damage it does after they gutted all damage by like 50% lol.

    Yea its kind of weird that despite being pve-centric that its not that popular. I have a friend who plays mmos, when I recommended GW2 she said that she heard of it but never bothered to play it. Is it good? She asks. 

    With all the focus on pve you I'd think that it would be super popular but nope. 

  13. The patch didn't work well because it can't fix core game issues. When GW2 launched I immediately knew it would never be as good of a pvp game like its predecessor. There was too much focus on pve and the core mechanics revolved around it. A decade later here we are, same exact issues that existed at the beginning. And it will never change no matter what they do.

  15. Is it me or are the quality of players much lower than it use to be? There are players who go for lord at the beginning of foefire map,  thief players who do not decap but choose to team fight mid,  players who absolutely no dmg, bring no team utility and only serve to feed enemy teams. Its kind of interesting. Maybe other players here experiences are different. But I've been playing since launch and I've never seen the quality of players at a all time low like it is now. 

    Between this and bots, its crazy. Around 5 of my placement matches this season were with bots.

    I have been doing this JP every single year successfully to muscle memory farm status so its not a matter of "git gut". I have not spoken to others yet, so i hope some frustrated vets and new comers can share their account so the DEVs can look into this, as this year new achievement collection requires the player to finished the tower successfully a few times.

    Samething happened to me. I've technically finished the puzzle twice. But the last part when you jump through the window is glitched. I'm clearly right in the middle of the cracked glass when i jump but I end up falling to my doom anyway. Super frustrating to an already super frustrating puzzle design.
