  1. It's that time again. Every so often people start to complain about warrior (because they are now functional again), they get nerfed and become unusable for a year or so. Happens like clockwork since the game was released. Hopefully, Anet does not listen to any of you about how to balance the game.
  2. Hey guys long time gw2 player here. One of the most frustrating things to happen as of late is getting put on team with late starters. They just sit in spawn for the 30 secs and then finally start to participate then get upset when we don't win. A late start is pretty much a guaranteed loss in rank. At the beginning of gw2 life this kind of thing didn't happen much. Now it happens very frequently. I'd say 3 out of 5 matches it happens for me. Its quite sad. Forgot to add, the bots. The same one that has been spamming sanctuary mid point is still here years later.

  4. I haven't played for a while. Last time I checked most people thought bladesworn was weak. What changed?
  5. One stack of stability is nothing with CC spam. 60 sec would make no sense seeing that DS roots you in play for a bit of time. Dragonsworn isnt that strong, it just has sustain. Think about it, the spec generally runs zerker amulet and it still doesn't do much dmg. That should tell you something.
  6. DH traps weren't nearly as much of an issue when the game had the retaliation boon. It prevented DH from mindlessly trap spamming on top of the point. But when retaliation was removed the beast was released and here we are. My suggestion would be to keep trapper rune and reintroduce retaliation. It kept a lot of spam in check.
  7. It's not even a heal skill now, it more like a utility. I think its just lazy that anet didn't bother to change the healing when they nerfed it.
  8. No, it doesn't do much of anything. Health is more valuable than armor. Remember before the mirage nerf how they were extremely hard to kill? I do. You know why right? Not taking damage is better than taking damage. If there was a priority system that classified the most important to least important mechanic for survival in gw2 then it would be armor.
  9. Blocks, invul, aegis and other defensive boons mean everything, armor does not. It's been this way forever.
  10. Those things you named were never meant to work. The only thing that would of worked is frequent balance patches for spvp. One of the big reasons why players left spvp is due to Anet not really caring about the game mode. Balance patches are infrequent, when they drop they often make things worse. Instead of quickly fixing what isn't good, we have to wait months or sometimes years for them to make a change. Look at the Feb 2020 patch, we still have 300 sec cooldowns! They never went back and revamped those skills.
  11. So, you are saying that it completely shuts down melee and the only solution is to be range. Got it.
  12. Foefire mid has the best capture point because of its size. Why not make every other capture point the same size? I don't know about you guys but one of the most annoying things right now is how smoke screen is the size of an entire capture point while black powder is almost the size of one.
  13. Well that's when they had class balance philosophy. Necro wasn't suppose to have access to stability nor have mobility. But all that has changed so shroud is just busted. Not to mention the stupid damage it does after they gutted all damage by like 50% lol.
  14. Smoke Screen should not occupy an entire node. Its ridiculous. It allows thief to capture a node with no virtually no counter play.
  15. Yea its kind of weird that despite being pve-centric that its not that popular. I have a friend who plays mmos, when I recommended GW2 she said that she heard of it but never bothered to play it. Is it good? She asks. With all the focus on pve you I'd think that it would be super popular but nope.
  16. The patch didn't work well because it can't fix core game issues. When GW2 launched I immediately knew it would never be as good of a pvp game like its predecessor. There was too much focus on pve and the core mechanics revolved around it. A decade later here we are, same exact issues that existed at the beginning. And it will never change no matter what they do.

  18. The bots killed it for me. I've been doing pvp since launch. This is the first time I really don't want to login to play.
  19. Is it me or are the quality of players much lower than it use to be? There are players who go for lord at the beginning of foefire map, thief players who do not decap but choose to team fight mid, players who absolutely no dmg, bring no team utility and only serve to feed enemy teams. Its kind of interesting. Maybe other players here experiences are different. But I've been playing since launch and I've never seen the quality of players at a all time low like it is now. Between this and bots, its crazy. Around 5 of my placement matches this season were with bots.
  20. Samething happened to me. I've technically finished the puzzle twice. But the last part when you jump through the window is glitched. I'm clearly right in the middle of the cracked glass when i jump but I end up falling to my doom anyway. Super frustrating to an already super frustrating puzzle design.
  21. I have no of these issues. Running the game at 2560x1080p. I’m using an amd gpu, are you guys using an nvidia gpu? Also it’s stated in the patch notes that anything over 60hz doesn’t work, To get around this run the game in window full screen mode.
