that's the point, playing as a warrior, I was thrilled with this proximity to primitiveness, but choosing a magician, I want to have an alternative when the charr consciously prefers to stand on two paws, consciously and fundamentally. I repeat, the option - checkmark in the settings - disable / enable movement on 4 paws for charrs is enough. and each player will choose at his discretion or will switch at will - today for two, tomorrow for four, for example

i don't think you know what i mean with standing straight, this is what i mean:

    1. Easy Linux support

    2. Playtime tracking

    3. Keeping games in one place

    4. Easy in-game chatting with Steam friends

    5. Using SteamDeck for portable play

    6. Wanting to support Steam

    7. Wanting to support consumer choice

    8. Achievement tracking/displaying

I'm sure there are a few more reasons, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Btw, I can confirm that using the -portal Provider workaround DOES allow Steam's Linux play for non-Steam GW2 accounts.

except for the linux support, none of them are actual good reasons.

you can keep all your games on one place on your desktop, no need for steam.

you can literally chat in-game, if you also need to chat on steam you're not playing the game so go and find a chatroom.

supporting a DRM platform is the WORST reason, do you have any idea why ppl rather want games with GoG?

Outfits and armor sets are two completely different things.  They cannot mix and match them.

yes they can, they just never made it that way.

look at the original GW,  you can do this both ways and it was never an issue, that they totally ignore a most wanted system is not the players fault here, it is completely on them.

I didn't include mounts in my list because mounts actually add value to the game.

no it doesn't and sure, at first i was one of the ppl who supported mounts but i now see the mistake they are.

also, the fishing , capes and housing does add value to the game.

it improves the RPG aspect that GW2 is sorely lacking, we actually need allot more of that to bring out the true potential of this game.

the only part i really despise is that lure can't be gained outside EoD, it should be a normal loot thing.

you kill a larva and you gain lure from it which in turn can be used to fish.

  5. they did the opposite of league of legends.

in LoL the lore, world and story of every character, city and landmark is superb.

every character is relatable with it's own back story and interesting gameplay, the game it self is actually quite linear and only made for the PvP crowd.

in GW2 the game is empty, nothing really strikes me as interesting and the story line is just stale and linear from the start, it pretty much offends the audience.

however, it does have a big world to explore and offers something for every player type.

if we have to look at how popular each game is it is a fair assessment to say that Anet isn't doing their job right, if LoL can get millions to play each month with just PvP while GW2 barely hits the 10.000 i wonder what is going on.

so yes, ether a GW3 where they can finally get things right or remaster GW2, financially it is much better to remaster GW2, making a game from scratch costs allot of money.

  6. that's why Anet 2.0 doesn't work, they cater to all kinds of social media platforms but don't think things trough.

ask yourself this, why do we need to report a bug in there game and in there forum but ones they need to communicate none of there own stuff is used?

it's like making hand grinded coffee for your customers but start using cheap powder coffee for yourself.

Not every armour set is going to be to your own taste. The good thing is, there are literally hundreds of skins in this game.

Personally I quite like some of the new skins and have definitely used them on my characters, though not usually as a full set, and some of them look a bit weird on human female, but I enjoy them on Asura/Charr.

not counting the outfits and keeping in mind that you can only wear 1 weight class, it's actually no more that 84 armor sets.

    hardly the hundreds you mention.

but even with all that, about 90% isn't even guild wars worthy.

i take the original GW armors over anything GW2 by miles.

Any thoughts on what that might look like? I take it you mean a series of collections like some of the other legendary stuff? Or do you mean like an actual storyline to it?

no collections, that's the lame achievement crap Anet loves.

i am talking about an actual story line, one that puts you on an adventure with the legendary armor as a end reward.

obviously this is allot of work and i really don't underestimate what is involved but i still think it's worth it.

  9. so your suggestion is: farm your kitten off.

we need an actual long quest line, one that stays inside the open world and doesn't depend on timed metas. (or any meta for that matter)

you want it PvE, i want it solo, this does both.

it can still be hella difficult to get trough, a good story (especially a long one) is worth tons more than yet more farming.

Why not share your insights? What do you think people are getting wrong, and in what way?

the average is whatever the most players are doing, none of us will ever know unless Anet tells us.

noobs never improve yet annoy other players, casuals just play whatever they like but stay away from problematic stuff like grinding, farming and legendary stuff.
