Yes a-net please do, the thread OP linked is a very very good idea!

So after basicly everyone who played GW2 for its PvP quit(me included at this point, haven't logged in 3 months), we get a patchnote so long I have no patience to actually read it all - and most of this is PvP oriented stuff. And that made me to check the new roadmap for some mention of sPvP. Given the energy and dev time put in, they must be planning to get an actual playerbase to justify this investment... But there are no such plans.
It seems the 2 dozen players still playing sPvP got a huge balance patch mostly tailored for them. I don't understand this company.- 2

Anything. Just do literally anything beside minor balance patches 3 times a year.

Staff ranger has been literally the biggest issue since the 2011 beta, I can't belive it's still not fixed!

Necro bad. Need blocks and evades. And stealth. What was a-net thinking?

Key word is powerful.
Skills like 100 blades and killshot are not strong enough anymore for such a harsh downside.
I agree with that. Now do we solve it with buffs, or do we remove the tradeoff?

Man the audience of this game really "evolved" past me... I actualy like the idea that powerful casts root you. It's a tradeoff. I like tradeoffs.
Yet here is the dev team removing tradeoffs from e-specs, and the forum actively campaigning to remove tradeoffs from skills... I AM SAD.- 2

Nerf it
I agree. A class with medium armor, the lowest healthpool and access to autoattacks shouldn't do damage.

You guys should get a duo aswell. If everyone is queueing in duo-s, the matchmaker will have to solve the problem on the quantum level to produce 5 man teams... I'm excitedly looking forward for that incredible breakthrough.

Over 1.5k games of ranked games with not a single one of them being in premade.
1472 Rating.
Cant get a single game without at least 1 premade.
Would be great if we could get at least a goddamn reply from a community manager or something even if that's "We don't plan to do kitten, we don't give a kitten about solo players and we plan to let premade/boosters run rampant."The worst thing about this post is the assumption that GW2 would have a community manager. That job title suggests two-way communication and that's just silly.

3v3 is total junk, a pvp mode built around teamfighting in a game filled with classes that are not good at teamfighting is awful
most matches are over in 10 seconds by whoever wins the first fight and they drag on SO LONG
the maps are too small giving serious credence to AoE heavy builds making some professions clearly superior
just get rid of it all, you have been trying to make it work for like 6 years now and its not gana ever work, but the conquest is perfect, its everything gw2 could be in a better system with reasonable match length. just keep that all year round

No, with the state of the game mode as it is, expecting someone to be competent enough on a class they aren't familiar with at the same level as their main class is unreasonable. It's no different from a complete pvp newbie coming into a pvp match.
Skyscale completion was deemed unreasonable and so was nerfed, I see this as no different.
I am laughing but I'm upset.

So you want the achivements that you get for being good at multiple classes without being good at multiple classes?

Here it what it does: it makes you feel better.

That's quite an accurate summation there. Big thumbs up for your hard work!

Agreed.
If it's too cluttered, trim some noise from some of the other skills. The untamed dome doesn't need to be that loud, for example.
To much noise whaaaat? Stop kidding, we love when multiple effects overlap into a white noise on our screen!
A-net please make renegade summons larger, and their fields thicker! We don't need to see the ground, we need to see how many toes the summon has! Boon effects need to be louder, for example if my teammate has protection, it should glow in a blue-ish hue so bright that it lights up even the enemy spawning area. The older (auto)attacks need to be tuned up to the level of the new ones: if I swing my sword, I wan't it to rupture space-time leaving a sparkly trail that lingers for at least a decade!
Repeat after me: oversaturation is good! We want the visuals to get louder!

Pretty sure Willbender already has stealth and it's among the dumbest things I've ever seen in GW2 pvp.
Do you enjoy being wrong? Or do you enjoy that people point out how you're wrong? There has to be a reason. There is no way someone is honestly playing this game for 10+ months(or maybe more, I can only see when you joined the forums), focusing on PvP, aiming to be better and still doesn't know which class can and cannot stealth.

OP is fun to watch, he goes through all the different phases and presents the same ideas as your average PvP-er did back in 2016. Moosymoose, the topstats do not reflect accurately enough who contributed most. Kiting a 2v1 the entire game gives 0 topstats for example. While facerolling into an enemy bunker on mid being unable to decap even once the entire game can easily get you around 4.
So here is how you can get over those nasty -12 rating hits: don't lose.- 1

There are plenty of ways to generate income from a pvp playerbase, its a lack of want or know how.
I'm so glad you're here. Now explain to a-net how, I can't wait for things to change. 😛

I don't understand this mentality though. Pvp is a huge part of most games, infact many games are entirely dedicated to it. Its genuinely not hard to put a pvp oriented team together, seperate pvp-pve mechanics (as they have done) and show this mode some actual attention for garunteed return on invetsment.
That's the thing though, there was no return on the investment. While a well run PvP mode unquestionably increases player retention, turns out your average gem buyer is a supercasual dad with 2 jobs, 3 wifes and 4 kids, because he has no time to farm out gold for the gemstore shinies. So we get content and monetisation aimed at this demographic.

1. Gw assassin isn't gw2's thief.
2. That's one example, want me to show a vid of almost every other mmo other than gw1 where the assassin class has stealth......I don't wanna bother and I'm sure u don't either.
3. People pick rogue or assassin for its common playstyle and designs, gw2 design was one rare example that it's different.......but I bet most players chose assassin in gw1 because was closest thing to what they usual prefer....rogue class.
I choose assassin because I was a sweaty tryhard and I loved abusing weaponstows to skip aftercasts, swapping between 4 different weapon sets, and endless unblockable CC combos that only ended when my target died. When people say "look GW1-s iteration of rouge did not need stealth", that's not the argument they think it is. If assassin got ported into GW2 for real, they would be crying for the stealth system to come back, so they'd have at least one way of hiding from it.

So eh... as someone who quit last August, and checks back bi-monthly to see if there is a reason to install the game again: the news being not having to craft a legendary makes me not even wanna check in 2 months.
