  1. The trick is just to watch a video on the boss you are going after and to read a guide, like on Dulfy. Problem solved. Read a Xera guide the other day, before i joined a training run with mostly pugs.Never did Xera before in my life. In reality i barely even needed the training aftwerwards anymore, cause the Guide on Dulfy already told me everything i needed to know. Our group didnt get the kill in the end, but I personally pretty much aced it to the point that an experienced player that joined our training to help asked me if i wanted to come on their next Xera kill, since i had the mechanics and the DPS already down enough, to move on from training. So even though i do t4 Fractals almost every day, as a complete Raid newbie, its not hard to actually get into it at all. Just do some preparation and things end up going your way.
  2. Agreed. If you like the Greatsword, then Ranger is for you, as it is amazing in every game mode if you play Power DPS. It has really good damage, mobility, build in evade frames, cc and a long duration block on a low cooldown, that also acts as a second CC skill, if you get hit while blocking in Melee range. That makes it a fantastic weapon for both PVE and competitive Player vs Player game modes. Wether I roam in WvW, Dps in Fractals, or simply run around in open world, the GS is always my mainhand go to weapon, because its just that versatile and good. In fact, while your secondary weapons will change depending on the game mode, the GS is BiS in all of those modes. So that sounds perfect for you.
  3. I honestly do not get why you have such issues.Running healing/support Druid mainly in fractals and group content in general a lot of times, and I heal people just fine. In fact, i usually end up healing far better than most Heralds or even Firebrands I know. The trick is to alternate between Celestial Avatar and Healing Spring. That makes Conditions a complete non issue, because i am either in CA and can use CA 2 on cooldown, or Healing spring, which quickly refills my CA again and clears 2 condies every 2 seconds on its own.The moment i drop out of CA again, I can use HS once more. Rinse repeat. Spirits, i always use Frost, Stone, Spirit of Nature and then either Sun or Storm, depending on wether we are full power, or have some Condition damage class. Pop stone on cd, so the entire group continues getting the prot. If I have to provide it all on my own, I will use Blue Moa to get 100% Protection uptime. That gives my 5 man group permanent 25 might, Fury, Protection, Swiftness and Regeneration (Which ticks for a lot per second), while debuffing my enemy with quick 25 vulnerability, if i am using Storm Spirit. And if the fight demands more heals, I can simply use Spirit of Nature for the passive healing, while popping its active, for when someone downs. I have tested it, and my healing per second can get as high as 7k to 8k hps per person, aoe, if pugs eat every bit of damage they can find. Maybe even more.In fact, when I heal, the only way people will down, is if they eat one shot attacks, or stand in agony fields. Tldr: Adjust your build and gear and then Git Gut. Druid is fine. ;)
  4. I vote for a bard, that buffs and heals their allies, utilising song and an offhand appropriate to that role.So in essence a support spec. We already have 2 very strong damaging elites, as it stands now. The only thing the class does not have yet is a healing and, or boon support spec. So i vote for that.It also fits the thiefs role quite nicely, cause bards in other games are usually rogue characters as well.
