  1. Potentially no one, some people still say theirs is working, much like my mate, so I think it's a bug that's only affecting some users.
  2. As title, is this just me, or have I just accidentally turned off an option somewhere that I can't find? It's annoying as hell having to open the achievements panel and manually click all the PvE ones every day now.
  3. So, the Renegade's (Rev elite spec) elite skill "Soulcleave's Summit" says it's a upkeep skill and gives no indication that it has any duration outside of my profession energy, yet I can pretty much guarantee that it will end after using roughly 30 point of energy, whether I have spare left afterwards or not. I've tested both in combat and out and it doesn't matter whether I have 10 energy, or ~70 energy, it ends after having spent that roughly 30 points of upkeep (not including the initial cost). Is this as intended, and if so why does it not mention a maximum duration? Because the Legendary Demon elite upkeep skill doesn't end until I run out of energy to spend on it, so I'm confused why the renagade one does.
  4. Ah, I see. Never went with Herald, so that explains why it mentions total upkeep cost. As for the other half of the query though, am I just mis-remembering being able to switch on an upkeep and it still running when you switch legend?
  5. Quite simple, I seem to recall last time I played I could use an upkeep skill from one legend (ie Vengeful hammers), then change to another and the skill would still be active. I mean, one thing that makes me think I'm right is that one of the passive skills in the Retribution skill tree specifically says "Heal every second for each point of upkeep currently in use" and as each legend only has 1 upkeep ability, weapons don't have any and each upkeep skill uses the same 6 points, it seems pretty weird to specifically say "each point of upkeep" as they're all exactly the same, instead of just saying "heal for X per second while channelling an upkeep skill".
  6. By any chace does this generally happen to you when you press the button for a mount? Cause I get that all the time, like I press mount, my character model seems to be stuck in the floor and my minimap is still, but the character location on my minimap moves, then my screen/minimap catch up to where I actually am.
  7. So, I just got my elementalist to 80, chose my elite spec, but, unlike the last few I picked, did not get a weapon box for my shiney new elite spec. Now I know I chose this same elite a few years ago when I last played GW2, so is it a case of you only get these Specialisation reward weapons once per account, or did it bug and I should have received a weapon, but didn't?
  8. Ah, fair enough. just barely over half way through Tyria when hitting 80 generally, so not getting the materials to craft anything better myself, and a lot of drops are tied the zone level, so was hoping to get somehting a bit more specific to what I want, but I have many classes to try, so one of them may give me the weapons I actually want to use, and celestial is a pretty sweet all-round set of stats 🙂.
  9. So, I'm not planning to actually boost myself, but I figure I might as well use it to get myself some free gear by using it when a class gets say 1 block away form 80 or something like that, BUT you're given a very specific set of weapons and armour/stats when you use the boost item, but speaking to the guy says you can "find a weapon that suits...." etc, but the guy beside him only sells the exact weapons/armour it gives you when you boost, so I was wondering if there was a way to actually get the weapons I want for my character, or would I be stuck with a specific set of weapons/stats for whatever class I "boost".
  10. I was using the black lion makeover preview npc to make sure I had all the exclusive stuff available too.
  11. I agree, that's one reason I wanna make her, gonna pretend my day-to-day activities are Batanga pre-whispers, and obviously skipping over the incosistencies when having to deal with the real Batanga in certain quests. Yea, that's roughly what I was thinking, or the orange/ginger for hair, but the character creator lighting is so off that none of those hair/skin colours look quite right.
  12. So, as title, I'm looking to try and make my character look like Agent Batanga, but the lighting in the character creator is a bit weird, (I'm starting to think she has custom hair and skin tones 😅 ), so none of what I'm choosing quite looks right, I got the right face, hair and eye colour, I just can't quite figure out which skin tone/hair colours she uses. Any help? (if it's even possible to recreate an/this npc) (And while we're at it, if anyone knows the exact recipe for Batanga, feel free to give build etc too, as it's mostly guesswork right now)
  13. Last time I tried some kind of /stuck command it didn't work. maybe I just typed the wrong thing. Though while that is good to alert them of problems with falling and getting stuck, it doesn't alert them of these types of problems when a skill leaves you inside something as /stuck will only say I got stuck, not why, which in this instance is the problem. Though thanks for the info, at least now I won't have a problem next time. Funnily enough I ended up getting stuck exactly from falling in an instance just now and saw your response as I was ocming online to report it. Good job too, was near the end of a lengthy instance.
  14. This is the second time it has happened and I am gonig to have to quit an instance to fix, when using the #3 sword skill "Unrelenting Assault" as a revenant on a mob near scenery at the end of the animation I end up stuck inside said scenery, first time it was a tree, if I recall correctly, this time it was a generic rock that was about as tall as my character and I am now stuck inside that rock with no way out. I only wish I had my nvidea shadowplay on so I could cut the last few second off and post a video to link the problem. Luckily I had only just started the instance, so it's no big deal, but should this happen further in / near the end it would have been disastrous.
  15. Yea, I get your point, but my point is that instead of assuming someone hasn't tried the absolute simplest solution to a problem and explaining it to them, it's probably best to think of the second solution, or at least ask first. I mean, let's change the topic for a moment, if I was trying to get help to start my car, and explained what was happening, would you assume I hadn't put the key in the ignition? Or even that it was out of fuel? No you'd start by asking what I had tried and only after exhausting other possibilities would you go to something that simple. I'm not trying to say I'm a rocket scienting or particle physicist, but I'm hardly a stupid man either, and it really, REALLY bugs me (Read as "effs me off") when someone assumes I need the simple solution explaining to me.
  16. Thanks mate, you actually had some helpful advice, haven't been back to that quest again since, but will certainly try that out if needs be next time, 3 more toons to run through with. Gotta admit, when I had problems with Braham I did literally just leg it through the dark tunnel, killing a few mobs and out the other side, so that just might have been it. And yea, I reported it via the in game bug report too, so it should have gone to the devs to look into at least, even if it doesn't get/can't be fixed. To be fair dude, you weren't helpful in the first place, you just assumed I hadn't done something exceedingly simple and advised me to do that instead of getting more information on the problem. So next time you want to help someone, presumably not me going on what you said, instead of assuming the simplest answer is the one thing the person requiring help hasn't already done, ask first. Or just give a more highly detailed explanation of potential problems, like the other guy here did. That way you can increase your usefulness to other people in the future. :)
  17. Ok, so this is the second time in a row this has happened to me on the same character... I Enter "Roots of Terror" instance. I take a path, kill the chak, talk to the magister, but then when it comes to "Talk to Braham" he just starts following me around like a party follower and after a moment then just stands there and won't interact with me at all. I cannot complete this quest. Edit: I have reported this via the in game bug report also. Edit, Edit: After 10 minutes of doing nothing. Not interacting, not talking, just, nothing. he finally started to comment on the chak filled pit and progressed the story. But to have to wait 10 minutes for an npc to prob their dialogue is still ridiculous.
  18. Yes, I am remembering them as, not oso much free, but as something bought cheaply with gold, as I know I had more than 1 set, but I've only recently made my first gem store purchase (that wasn't free) to get the living story. And I have that as a checkable history right back to the day1 celebratory hat we were given for having pre-purchased the game way back when.So if I am remembering incorrectly then fair enough, and I guess nostalgia isn't always what you think it was ^_^
  19. You're clearly focusing on the wrong things here. I didn't say I had a problem with that. In fact: Clearly showing I don't think the old system was better, just the acquisition. Just that I wish I was still able to get town clothes in the same way as before, instead of having to pay ridiculous amounts of gold, or real world money to acquire them. - Which is very much worse than before.
  20. So this is more about you being disappointed that you lost out on value. The new system is far more convenient especially with the wardrobe system in place. From a pure game play perspective it is superior. No, this has nothing to do with lost "value" this has to do with wishing they had kept the old system. If I had the gold to spare I'd buy up a bunch of the town clothes right now. I don't give a sod that they're expensive now and weren't before. Once again someone that's missing the point. Don't have any spare slots and depending on when they were changed I may not have those toons. I've had 2 major breaks, one that was a year, then another that was 4. Each time I started from scratch. As such I'm on my third generation of toons. Besides, as stated, I no longer have spare slots. I make 1 toon of each race each time I play. It was also pointed out above that I probably mis-remembered the town clothes being automatic, which, of, sure, so now as an outfit it would be much the same as it usd to be, t's just gettin gsaid outfit now after all the changes that's the problem. With so much stuff being monetised or simply removed form the game. But I can clearly see that I'm in the minority, on this forum at the very least.
  21. Thanks for the help @"Cragga the Eighty Third.6015", Though I did know about the keys. And while it might be nice to regain some of the outfits in the past, it's not about that. It's about the fact that they took away that mechanic in the first place. It's not like it was in the way, or interfered with anything else. Even with the current changes they could have easily just kept the town clothes tab as a separate entity, just one more tab to add to the plethora we now have. I mean, mail carrier tab? glider tab? Outfit tab? I really feel they could have condenced all of these into a simple "Cosmetics" Category or "Wardrobe" as is and hed them all in the same place inside drop down tabs like the dye lists in the dye tab.
  22. Not hostile no, just disappointed at the change and annoyed at being told "just go buy it" Dude, I'm struggling to stay above 200. So yea, it's a lot. Maybe you been playing/grinding so long you got thousands. Me? Barely anything. And sure, the town clothes outfit can be worn in combat... You're clearly missing the point of town clothes. And while the Common clothing tonic is the default we all started with, I know I used to have one or two of the other's also. I specifically went and purchased them when I found the one I wanted on each toon.
  23. Common clothing tonic 4s 37c Next cheapest? 179g 99s 93c...... I rest my case.
