As a new player i had bought HoT, you know, to get that awsome glider and  all. On one of those first time i played, i was with a real life friend. So one day we are in the norn starter zone ( because im still a lowbie)and we're fighting mobs on the edge of a cliff.
Once the fight was over, my friend proceeded to jump off the cliff, popped his glider and sailed into the sunset.
So in order not to get left behind, i follow him and jumped off the cliff, spammed the spacebar to pop that glider but no go.
I fell to my death, splatting body parts all over while pissing myself from laughing.

We still talk about that time once in a while even 7 years after my brutal death.🥳

Get the karmic retribution buff in Sandswept Island, farm the Specimen Chamber event.

[Zip lines and minions.]

It seems that minions get deleted when you dismount the zipper and I found a little work-around, just pop your skyscale and/or jump off the zipper before it lands, you'll keep your minions that way. 

 

[Siege Turtle, Swap seats]

We should also be able to mount it while in combat, its a siege turtle after all.
As of now, you need to run away, wait till you're out of combat, mount up and go back. There's already a timer preventing from spamming the mount if you get dismounted.

[Turtle mount requires strike mission?]

Joined a sucessfull pug on my 8th or 9th try. We did good the first time but too many fell in combat, on the second try we did it with everybody still alive.
Best tip i can give you: Go in potato mode, you will have less spam on the floor and will be able to see everything the bosses telegraph. Then just dodge your life away.

Everyone who pulled their weight basically earned the turtle.

Why cant i loot all the chests in AB if the meta fails? Why cant i loot behind the wall if the Chak Garant is not killed in time? Why cant i get those chest in Drizzlewood if the meta fails?

I pulled my weight, learned the fight, found an organized group. We failed on my  first attempt but succeeded the second time, and im not counting the times i just got in a pug to learn the mecanics. Its not elitist toxicity, its doing what needs to be done to succeed.

Im a filthy dirty casual, an this makes me sick. I spent 15 to 20 hrs on that map, learning the fight doing events and finally EARNED my turtle last night.
I play a necro power reaper, a "low Intensity" build because in 57, reflexes aint what they used to be. For this meta, i dropped some minions and took some well and stuff to help and do more then just bring dps. If i was able to do it, anyone can. This doesnt mean the meta is fine, it needs some tuning , but its doable.

So have your turtle from a vendor all you want, i dont mind. Mine was earned.

I got 264 sitting in my bank mostly just from roaming around and 3 failed attemps to learn the fight.

Got my turtle last night, EARNED it. Now im waiting for aneth to give me a full set of legendary armor and weapons.

Yes.

Should it be nerfed?
no.

Should it be tuned?

Yes.
If she can take a filthy casual scrub like me in her group and get a win, that makes what she's saying worth listening to.

The meta is the ultimate ending of the dragon story line and I don't mind if its hard. Eventually, more more people will learn the fight and will get their turtle. my problem is with this:

Im gonna give it a few more days before i attemp it again, gonna watch some videos of it and learn so i can be usefull in doing the meta. In the mean time, i'll just go hunt AP.... if i find something that's wont be bugged.

I like pretty much of it, the diversity between the 3 map is really outstanding. The story is great. I was flabergasted the first time i used the taxi raptor and i love those.
If you come directly from the vanilla GW, you'll find HoT a walk in the park compare to EoD. But i dont mind,its makes the content a bit more challenging.

Now, those zip lines.... do my minions really need to vanish everytime i use that gizmo?
I want the cooldown on my minions remove if aneth wont fix this. For now i avoid them like plague and use my skyscale to roam around, but that really need fixing.

Never, ever give up on getting a shinny.

Mystic coins, you get 50 a month from login and Ley Line Anomaly alone. If you invest the 2 gold from the dailies into mystic coins, thats about 30 more, so we're at 80 a month now. Just play the game, dont waiste gold on crappy stuff and you'll have all 250 of the in no time.
