As for the serious answer, there are a ton of thief repellant builds out there, You can eighter pick them up or git gud. Just becouse You are not good in PvP doesn't mean core mechanic of the professions should be erased thus destroying the class.

Edit: When I see someone somewhere using word "Toxic" or "Gatekeep", while describing something I instantly feel the urge to downvote it. Cuz I instantly know it will be something so silly or insane. Do You guys have this habit as well? Like this two words are so overused and their meaning so twisted at this point... xd

That might be becouse Your unwillingness to give any constructive argument why it should be implemented. Nor You are even trying to answer any argument that was given to You. Instead You are going with "Becouse I am forced" (while You are not, as I stated above You can get 90% of all legendary equipment outside of WvW), or You are threatning with leaving the game, just like 10 year old kid throwing a tantrum would do. On the top of that, You are writing on public forums that You hate everyone. Why? Becouse they have other opinion than You do? Maybe someone would take You seriously if, just as I said above, instead of hate and threats, You would come with a constructive argument as for why it should be implemented the way You like it. (No "I hate WvW", is not an argument btw).

On the more serious note, You can become almost full legendary without touching WvW, with the exceptions being Two trinkets and (probably cuz idk if You can craft 2x Coalescence) One ring.
You have OW lege armor, You have Ad Infinitium for backpack, Coalescence for one ring, Story for amulet and TWO sets of legendary weapons that You can get entirely through trading post. Unless You go specificly for Gen 2 skin You are good to go. If for any reason you go for Gen 2 weapon than sorry but it's a "You Problem". Diffrent modes have diffrent skins. I don't except to get Oblivion Scythe skin from WvW, I go to raids to get it. It is Your problem and Your decision if You want go for something in the game or not, it is not the flaw in design. If You have a problem with that than the exit door are open.

Still. Going full heavy armor, while the theme is something like "Going to the ball" is wierd enough for me. But as I said, event is not really to be taken seriously, thus I don't see the reason to bother with adding an option for backpieces. Especially while You can enable it Yourself with the tonic or something as Cedo said.

Idk if it really matters for me since whole event is just a joke to fool around and have fun, not a real fashion contest. Like most times I watch it, peoples are woting for random players without look matching the theme or for peoples with the skins so wierd and obnoxious that one think they really escaped from the rl balenciaga kind of fashion show. Nothing against it of course, but since most doesn't take this show siriously, I don't think it really matters if the back items are visible or not.

Aren't You just the nicest sweeting around. I am not struggleing in life. I am worried, peoples do have feelings for this game, how surprising. Met many peoples for whom this game is a way to cope with their psychical problems. I also know how immensly it helped me to get through the darker moments of my life. Rumor or not rumor, it shouldn't happen. Certainly not in the way it is happening now.
There is such a thing called "empathy". You should try it sometimes dear. Not everything is about opinion that can be changed. Some peoples feel. Sharing the feelings on forum is nothing bad, and especially nothing that one should mock...

No one said I'd be getting nothing. I would rather see the resources spend on something else rather than dyeing some old title that peoples have to play other game in order to obtain it.
Things like brand new titles tied to new engaging achivments. Like Knight of the Thorn one. It don't even have to be tied to expansion areas or story for that matter.
If not that than fresh new skins, they are availble to everyone.

Not like there is anything wrong with using wiki and yt if one want to, I do it myself usually. Just let's not forget that this helpful guides and achivments are made and beaten by players. The fact that they share with us how to make them is their good will.

Ohh great, Lumpix asking for free stuff in yet another topic, how creative.
On infusion topic You screamed how new players are alienated by not being given fractal 5+9 infusions for free and in this one You ask for more things to be given to You that one could get only by playing totally another game. Charming.
You bought gw1. You have the right to play it. You did, and had a pleasure to enjoy it for many years. The pleasure You bought. If You bought any cosmetics there than You got a pleasure to enjoy them as well. HotM rewards are the ANet's good will to reward You for supporting them, they didn't have a responsibility to give You anything, and yet they did. They gave You skins, titles, ap ect.
Demanding from them more, just becouse You see other rewards as more shiny is just... entitled, repulsive... just wrong.
As they say... give a finger, they will take a whole hand.
Edit. Ohh yea, just for the record. I got to play gw1 just to get stuff from HotM, after gw2 has been already up and running. I paid for gw1, I enjoyed it cuz it's a great game too. Do I demand more stuff out of kindness now? No.

I agree they should bring back this runes. But the argument about gold investment is the most silly one I ever heard. Xd
Was it even a gold? Or couple silvers. kitten I wouldn't call it investment even if it was worth this 3 gold or so.

You see. Legendary weapons are Long Term Goal of a game in general, there are lots of such goals and Devs are keep adding new ones. So giving out some progress in form of WV isn't that bad of a thing if Devs think it can do some good.
Infusions You are fighting for on the other hand, are fractal Long Term Goal. So not even a gamemode, just a part of a gamemode. So keeping it as a Long Term Goal is much more important for Fractals replayability, since You get such goals pretty rarely.
As for devaluating veterans, I was mad about the option to turn off infusions You know, as I like to implement them into my looks, and sometimes my looks are just bad without the infusion that was made to be the center of this look. But than again, do I have a right to interfere with someone elses expirience with the game? No. I learned that I only play for myself, and I am the one who should take pride and joy from my achivments, no one else, only me. ^^
Moreso, belive it or not, but right before recent SotO update, I crafted Frostfang and The Dreamer. Guess which weapons entered WV lege box. BOTH OF THEM. Am I mad? I would be few years ago. Now I say tough luck, I like this weapons, and crafted them for myself, not for other peoples... Well except for Dreamer maybe... Let the ears of the innocent burn! * ,.., *
As for it being fun for me. Yes it is, but not in the way You understand it. I am player that enjoys the journey more than the goal. Like I farmed to get everything to outright craft new lege armor, and once I crafted it and toyed with it for like 2 days, I went for a few weeks break cuz I didn't know what to do in the game next. So yes, I enjoy such Long Term Goals as this infusions, becouse they are giving me the reason to go and play fractals.

It's a QOL of sorts imo. You can get Only stat and only agony infusions for cheap. Merging them together costs.

It would be if they would give You any sirious adventage, and they are not. Like, imagine. Outside of fractals You do 100% of Your damage. When You add all the stat infusions You do like 102% of Your damage. Now take fractals. You do Your 100%, now drink one offensive potion and You are already at Your 115% just like that. Without any stat infusions. So just by drinking a silly tonic in fractals, You already are way more powerful than You will ever be outside of fractals. xd
But alas, if You are still after this infusions, I'll leave You with the advice. Get Fractal God, You will have base agony raised on the whole account so You will need to go for less infusions. Becouse belive me, what You ask for is really unlikely to happen.

I already told You. If You want to get this item fast and stilk support the game than go take additional shift at work (treat it like a side quest for gw2 xd) and buy it with real money. Becouse what You propose will ruin the fun for me and probably many other players.
Lastly You repeat Yourself. We all already know whats on Your mind. We stated our opinions You stated Yours. Thats what forums are for. We are not going to convince each other, so yes, thread ran it's course and should be locked. It is named Pain Cliffs for a reason You know? xd It is meant to give You this sweet burning feeling of anger and helplesness. If You don't like it, no one is forcing You to go for it. Be extra careful and arm yourself with patience or just leave it. I don't see nothing that requires change here. Especially since the assassin thing You only need to finish once.
