  1. Yes, but those are closed indoor quarters, and if the air gets contaminated with a virus, you can infect others without being in the same room with them. They would have to air the room after each person's session as a virus can survive for quite some time in the air (unless it's open air). Oh, sure, you'd need extra cleaning and whatnot, but my point is that the task probably isn't as daunting as it at first seems.
  2. I was surprised about that myself. Did they record this earlier this year, before the pandemic? Maybe the restrictions are lifting? If VO recording is like music recording, you typically don't need more than one person in the room at a time anyway. Maybe two in the control room, if the producer doesn't know how the console/software works. But even then, the engineer could probably get the session files ready and show the producer how to do the basics. It's not too hard to just tell it to record. (Again, based on what I know of music production... VO work could be different for some reason.)
  3. AFAIK, the T and P Series (and W, if you go used) ThinkPads have a fantastic reputation. They're business-oriented, though, so you'd likely have to go with some super high-end model to get a good GPU. At that point they're either pretty expensive or pretty old. I got a used W540 last year over something new because for the specs I cared about (HiDPI screen, lots of RAM and internal storage bays) it was something like 1/5 the cost of a new machine. Of course, a new machine would've had a way better CPU & GPU, but "1/5 the cost" is pretty compelling when you just want something to explore Linux with. I don't know about specifically the ThinkPads with a Risen 4000u, but as I understand it, in general the 4000u is kinda the king of the "normal" laptop CPUs right now, as long as you get one with dual channel memory.
  4. That's pretty much every "gaming" laptop.
  5. I just came here to say that I'm disappointed that the Quiznos promotion doesn't give you an in-game recipe for a high-level "Quaggan Quohag Quesadilla Party Tray" or some such thing. Opportunity missed, ANet.
