Strange events

So, I'm playing with one of my Revs, and doing dailies.

The character is playing fine as it always does, until some dude who was doing a dialy with me disappeared. 

I thought nothing of it, until my character died twice of sudden death.

Then I move on to Silverwastes and cannot target nor damage a legendary but it can do it to my character. 

 

Though ok... hmmm.

Moving on...

Now the game is extremely slow and my character is taking a hell of a load of damage, which is not usual.

 

So I'm wondering if maybe that said dude falsely reported me for something and now I'm being tested or something? 

 

I just find all this very odd and peculiar. 

... or is it some sort of bug?
