EDIT: i stopped to heard it, its instrumental samba, not exactly bossa nova; anyway samba or bossa nova is all brazilian stuff(is common artists of 2 styles overlap and mix it), if u search in youtube for "instrumental samba" u will find lots of music like it. Chorinho is also very close to it(more than bossa nova).

The instrument that mimic a bark is named "cuica".

Sorry for double posts bellow, was a mess here, if a mod can clean it i thx in advance.
