Server Down - 07/28/2022

I have been attempting to login and play this game all day. I can log in with no issue (with the exception of occasional hang time), but when I get to the character select screen and try to click Play on any of my characters, the Play button greys out and nothing happens.  I may eventually get a Loading screen, however if I do, it just sits there until the server disconnects. The few times I have managed to get in, I can only move around. No skills will work, I'm unable to interact with anything, etc. Eventually the game disconnects again, and the whole process starts over.  What's going on? I haven't seen any reports of outages, and A.net isn't communicating via Social Media.

I'm not having an issue on NA.  If you are on NA, perhaps try a VPN to take a different path to the servers?

If on EU, I've not seen anyone else posting with issues...yet.

On EU, and yeah, I haven't seen any instances of this.  Down Detector is showing quite a few red areas, but still nothing official from a.net.  Not sure what's happening.  Thanks for the update!

Glad to know I'm not the only one.  Not sure what's going on, but I wish they'd get it straightened out.

That seemed to do the trick. I actually moved the main GW2-64.exe application from the GW 2 Folder to my Desktop, and ran as an Admin.  It downloaded all of the game files as if I were performing a fresh install.  Sure enough, as soon as it finished, I was able to login and play the game without issues.
