Repairing walls and gates will no longer award event participation

• Repairing walls and gates will no longer award event participation. This alleviates the behavior we've seen in farming Objective Scaling Rewards and "wasting" supply while defending. However, an additional side effect of this is that repairing alone will not progress achievements that require event participation, such as Keep Keeper, Nice View, or Stay Out.

 

Is there a way to remove SMC from the rewards without changing towers and keeps? or at least giving the lowest level participation for repairs? I ask because support classes are unevenly impacted by this change where their priority is healing and boons so killing enemies is harder and finishing dailies and weekly reward tracks much harder. Defender being a good example as hitting an enemy or breaking siege may not gain you any advancement. Even killing invaders doesn't guaranty advancement with DPS players. I totally understand putting a stop to the skirmish ticket and rewards farming but isnt there a better way or a way to fix the daily\weekly advancement criteria? The system before the new rewards at least let support players gain credit towards achievements.
