It's flamethrower again.

That would be so cool and it wouldnt even be op because scrapper is a power spec and 5% isnt too much. Lets say it would be cool for me who enjoys cele scrapper in open world.

As for pvp and wvw it should probably keep the 15% of power but only like 3-5% on condi.

Also, we should talk about FT's toolbelt
It's nice that we can pre-cast it (20 sec cd (before cd reductions from tools) with a duration of 45 seconds)
It's nice that it stacks up to 3 times.

What isn't nice, is that it gives diminishing returns (in PvE at least).
1 stack of incendiary ammo: 3 burn stacks after 3 hits.
2 stacks of incendiary ammo: 5 burn stacks after 3 hits. (instead of the expected 6)
3 stacks of incendiary ammo: 7 burn stacks after 3 hits. (instead of the expected 9)

Tested with FT AA on the raid golem (and not taking into acount the singe stack of burning the AA itself adds at the end. with it, numbers are 4, 6, 8 stacks respectively, after a single AA cast).
Is this an intentional feature or bugged, a-net?

Does anyone see similar results in PvP / WvW?

It's still very viable in WvW, but in PvP it got absolutely kitten on after the nerf to flamethrower 1 and removal of quickness.

Not surprising they're ignoring our pleas considering they've said they don't like the flamethrower playstyle. My guess is they'd sooner have a overhaul of the entire kit, than buff flamethrower.

Bold of you to assume they'd rework anything about core engineer, considering how long stuff has gone untouched. Some stuff hasn't been touched since 2015 or earlier.

And that's the issue, burning has the highest base damage out of all the conditions, and instead of nerfing the condition itself they nerf the amount we can output.

Flamethrower is well,... a core skill and if we take other core things as an example it has no excuse to be good, and since it's using the highest damage dealing condition, the only thing that remains to nerf from it is the amount it can pump out.
