Eastwind.7209
I've got a core account and an ele I want to level. I was looking around for builds and found this site: https://guildjen.com/leveling-builds/ On the ele spec, it has this: Skill Priorities: Air > 4 > 2 > 33 > 5 Fire > 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 > 2 Earth > 3 > 2 > 4 > 5 > 2 Water > 44 > 5 > 2 I just don't understand what they're talking about. Can someone explain? In general, I'm unclear on the order in which I should be spending my hero points. Another spec I'm looking at is https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Elementalist_-_Core_Power Does this build expect one to follow the air specialization first to the last skill it lists (bolt to the heart), then start on fire, or do the first column of air, then the first column of fire, then arcane? I have open utility slots that I can't fill with what the spec says because I haven't unlocked arcane blast yet. Perhaps the answer is that this build is designed for level 80, not levelling, and by level 80 you have everything, and it isn't specifying the order you unlock stuff in. But the first build is definitely levelling focused, only the order shorthand isn't explained on the site. Thanks much in advance!
Hesione.9412
Okay, as you have an elementalist I am assuming you are not confused about Air, Fire, Earth, Water attunements. The rotation as shown is: Be in Air > use your weapon skill 4, then your weapon skill 2, then your weapon skill 3, but do that twice in a row then weapon skill 5 Switch to Fire attunement > use weapon skill 2 then weapon skill 3 then weapon skill 4 then weapon skill 5 then weapon skill 2 Switch to Earth attunement... and so forth
Eastwind.7209
Oh, thanks, I didn't realize it was the skill rotation, I thought it had to do with specialization training.... The 33 tripped me up, I thought 'that can't be a skill, the number's too high'.... Thanks for your help.

One key press, one action.

And people still do it and Anet has no way to catch them.
