Main Hand pistol shotgun

It would be nice to have pistol mainhand as a weapon choice.

General idea: Midrange weapon 600 range in general, with a theme of scattershot, so more aoe potencial, hurting main target and his friend and family. Rifle is very single target sniper, so to give different vibes make it midrange and aoe. And it is generally hurt enemies weapon.

Condi vs Power - BOTH but in smart way. Longbow is decent fire condi weapon, and has both single target and tagging potencial. So more a power by default. However...

In Arms specialization Wounding Precision could have extra text "Pistol skill deal 20% less strike damage, but deal massive bleeds." Generally favorite condition on shotgun is bleed from shrapnes. Fire is in longbow. Some weakness and vulnerability also could be added to the mix. Arms already have condi perks so there will be no loss.

Sample skills:

Shatter shot - you strike target, and also enemies around it for less damage, it is a shotgun. Ideally with like 5 rounds cycle for full volley.

Gimmick there could be a variant, where 1 skill simulates ammo, and if we press 1 enought times in the row we get a fresh powder buff, for some extra effect.

Firing position - you roll to better position, jumping rolling evading, forward to get better shot. This is debuff skill so vulnerability here. Could be some swiftness so we can get closer to enemies. This is ammon skill so we can hop a couple times.

Full barrel - we load shotgun to the top 😛 bursting in the cone shape. Cripping and blinding goes here if we want to disengage. This could also be a good Burst, as just big aoe with pain is the theme of burst.

Get Over here or Whale Hunting - we load a harpoon on land whales, and pull them towards us at larger range to closer range to match the weapon. It also defile defiance bar, so that is useful. There could be some cripple so they do not instantly run away from us. There could be a gimmick that it pierces, so in theory you can hit multiple targets but they need to be in perfect straight line.

I’d personally love a pull skill similar to Roadhog from Overwatch, maybe the 3 skill, where you can pull the enemy towards you to unload with your 5 skill. It can also give vulnerability or weakness. Hell maybe even give it two ammo so you can keep people in close quarters more effectively.

Love this idea by the way!

Full barrel sounds cool too! Give it 6 ammo that has a cone shape similar to snap pull in size, a bit close to mid range. And the 4 skill we currently have reloads both our 5 and Full barrel skill by 3 ammo.

That way you can pull and enemy towards you, then unload close range with your 5 skill, then use full barrel, reload with your 4 skill, then do the combo again for great close to mid range damage.

 

the F1 could be a 600 range explosive shot that does damage and some burning, and pushes the target back. It wouldn’t be a disabling skill with actual cc but it pushes the target back similar to the pistol 5 skill. The higher the adrenaline the more damage and burning it does and the more it pushes the foe back.
