Spear skins for older weapon sets

Is there any news on Anet making spear skins for their older weapon sets? 

They used to have underwater skins for all weapons when the game launched but they stopped making the skins for them when underwater combat became irrelevant. Would be nice if Anet could make the speaker skins to older weapon sets since I match my different armor fashion sets to my weapons.

I am pretty sure that there was an indication that new sets would include spears but that older sets would not be expanded.
