Warkitties don't like to node? Why not?

When I try to interact with something in game like a node on most mounts, my toon will jump off the mount and gather the node. When I try it on my warkitty, I just stand there like a kittenkitten. What gives? Is this a bug? Or do warkitties hate crafting materials for some reason? Sounds off for a Mist animal with a sniff skill that will dig in the ground for treasure.

Same thing here. I interact, get dismounted and just stand there. On all other mounts I actually start working on the node.
