I wouldn't mind settling for Exotic armor if it takes significantly less time/gold to get it. However, I've heard that with Viper's armor, the Exotic version is nearly as expensive as the Ascended, so it makes sense just to go straight to Ascended. Is the same true of Marauder's? Eros.6801 Posted January 2, 2018 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Luckily Marauder and Crusader doesn't use expensive mats like Viper/Minstrel/Commander/Trailblazer/etc, they using the same mats as core stats, those are pretty cheap on TP, the only difference is they use some HoT mats like https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ebony_Orb. Tanner Blackfeather.6509 Posted January 2, 2018 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Yeah, I'm a big friend of Marauder gear too, and the exotics are really not noticeably more expensive to craft than core stats.Also, the "viper's is as expensive as ascended" is hyperbole. usnedward.9023 Posted January 3, 2018 Share Posted January 3, 2018 You could always create an ascended set that uses cheaper mats and then convert to what you want. Just be sure to do all the math.
