For smokescale and pocket raptors in Draconis Mons, the immobilize attack of the Fanged Ibola, spike traps in crystal oasis, tar traps and spider webs in desolation, and other specific AOE's the mount move action doesn't evade even with the mastery unlocked.

The evade works fine for me in all of those situations, as long as I'm using the special ability before running into the traps and such. Anything with multiple hit attacks (like the Smokecales and packs of Pocket Raptors) will obviously be impossible to completely avoid, but you can evade at least some of the hits.

try avoiding them with the skimmer (and jackal mastery 4)- it has the longest movement ability of all mounts so you'll more easily see that the dodge happens.

other mounts with shorter movement abilties aren't as effective at dodging, and the gryphon especially has a very short duration of time for which it will dodge attacks.
