Sandclap.5871 Posted February 12, 2018 Share Posted February 12, 2018 Hey guys, I´ve decided to return to the game and after 3 years, and with all this new information I'm a bit undecided about a profession to choose.I'm torn between Ranger and Warrior. Can you guys tell me how both professions are doing in all game modes? Fluffball.8307 Posted February 12, 2018 Share Posted February 12, 2018 Despite the constant whining about it on the internet by over-passionate fans, Anet has done an outstanding job making sure the professions are balanced in every game mode. There are some that are not balanced as well, namely revenant, but warrior and ranger are both fine in all 3 modes, and assuredly will continue to be wanted despite any meta changes.The one minor caveat is that ranger is not super-mega intended to play in WvW zergs (largely because the pet has trouble surviving), but it is also fully capable of doing so with a variety of damage and support builds. Rangers as a profession excel more at small scale combat, where they're one of the best. I roam on mine in WvW all the time.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
