Mesmer Build Help

So I decided on a race for my mesmer finally, went with human. But I can't decide on a spec. I want something that won't be TOO dissimilar from mirage, as I want to play that and I'd rather it not be overly jarring. I also do enjoy condition builds from what i've played of them. any suggestions for what spec/build I should run with?

Let's consider your criteria:

• Play style/build not similar to Mirage, and
• Preference for Condition Damage

Unfortunately, I don't think there's build the would fit. The Mirage is a straight up enhancement to the pre-existing Condi Mesmer, and plays largely the same (in PVE). If you want to give a Power-based build a try, here's one that I would recommend for open world exploration.

Seriously now, there are more than enough threads on the forum with Mirage builds for PvP, PvE or "Just having fun".

Open world and story builds are mirage condition damage focused. The boss-killer build is a variation of that that focuses on phantasms. Both of those will do more than enough damage to sail through all the content. The fractals build is a standard chronomancer buffing support build, not a condie build. This is because mesmer condie builds are really poor in fractals, so you'll just be hurting your group by doing that.
