can you obtain the griffon or sky scale by just buying the skins?

im a returning player from just after path of fire and i was trying to get the griffon but am struggling to find player who are doing the bounties just wondering if you buy a skin do you get the mount also thanks in advance

You do not. You must complete the 'quest/collection' for each.

Bounties show up as Dailies often; should not be a problem during those times (and especially when it's not right after a release, like now, with SAB).

Mount skins don't unlock any mounts. But you can buy the skins from the gem shop even if you don't have the mount(s) unlocked yet and they'll be available to use once you do unlock the mounts in game for the skin(s) you purchased.

there is not way anet allowing this. its a long process to get the griffon and skyscale. if you interest on both. i suggest you work on skyscale first. it will make it easier for your to get griffon. also there will be less and less people in LS4 map. ( everyone gone to LS5 map). so you better hurry when still go the chance.

the griffon is more a problem with gold and a really annoying legendary enemy than anything else, the skyskale......sadly if only that was true.
