Support ticket invisible responses

It depends on the subject - if it was something tons of people contacted support about and they are already working on it, it happens that they close most of those tickets without a response.

Also, tickets are automatically closed after 7 days without a response or an update, so I recommend next time you update your ticket within the time span.

They aren't automatically closed within 7 days. I know this because my ticket was not closed, and resolved (with CS Team member interaction) after 15 days. (A few days ago.)They are, however, automatically closed within a certain time limit; I think the LGM said something like 30 days.

Some other CS Team statements:Updating a ticket will re-open it.Updating a ticket that is open will send it to the back of the queue. (Just read this statement recently.)And, of course, submitting duplicate tickets will send them all to the back of the queue.
