Unlisted Scourge nerfs. (For those of you who don't look at reddit.)

Scourge was given unlisted nerf recently."Dhuumfire no longer pulses on each tick of Desert Shroud, once on cast only (All modes)"Many are barely managing 29-30k. Very severe and uncalled for, but I guess that's what happens when Necro becomes useful in PvE for once.Credit for the find goes to reddit user Teidot.

You are arguing semantics. If power is reduced it's a nerf whether it was caused by a bug or not. In this case going from 39k down to 31k is quite significant regardless of whether you want to consider it a nerf or not.

No, a nerf is an intentional change in design meant to weaken an ability, a bug is unintended.

Now having read through the linked thread, I can say, this does appear to have been intended, so it was in fact a nerf. MSS was never intended to trigger with every tick of Desert Shroud, and since Dhuumfire triggers from Shoud Skill 1 which would be MSS, it was only intended to trigger once per activation of DS. It was not meant to trigger every second. This was a completely reasonable nerf too with all due respect. It also wasn't exactly unlisted in the patchnotes... just poorly explained. The patch note makes it sound as if activating Desert Shroud wasn't triggering MSS like it's supposed to, when in fact it would appear the issue was that MSS was actually triggering from every pulse instead of only on activation.

  • Desert Shroud: Fixed a bug that was preventing this skill from processing Manifest Sand Shade upon casting.
