I have been part of the larger community since 2017, but switched from ESO to GW2 within the last year, so understand the perspective of a new player. There is so much to learn in GW2! You will definitely find people to play all the different game modes with, in an inclusive and friendly way. But GW2 is a solo-empowered game, so don't expect classes, although there are occasional guided tours through fractals, WvW, and meta-events!
