Dragon Banner, ANET, why?

So we were all excited when we heard that dragon banners were going to be nerfed, and deservedly so. However, patch comes, and the only skill on the DB that everyone wanted nerfed was the only skill that didn't get touched?

Now we have map blobs bringing 3-4 dragon banners to fights and just laying fire carpets down left and right. Why was the most egregious skill on the banner not even touched for a damage reduction?

Please just disable the D. banners until you can figure out a solution or change it to a utility banner like the other banners no one uses, instead of a raw damage one.

Yeah they should just be utility banners- maybe something like slotting a dragon banner in a tower gives friendly players in the area some might stacks or slotting a turtle banner gives friendly players regen stacks in the area near the tower. Or some sort of weaker bloodlust effects.

Yeah the 5 skill is the most OP and the 3 skill is the most obnoxious with crazy range and still does damage even though it's a CC. Yet they nerfed the 1 and 2 skill which were IMO 2 of the least problematic parts about the banner.

nerfing the dps on dragonbanner was just the wrong way. best solution would be to make it regionbound, so ppl cannot carry it all over the places and stack them. often dragonbanners are even brought by those annoying servers that blob the others in 70v20 situations down.

also, everything favor the numbers. the nerfs on stuff means kinda, that you'll gonna need more players to dish out more dmg increasingly, which is fine for now but needs to be stopped before it gets to the point of no return. what would really need nerfs now are condibuilds (like on rev) and thief-ranger crap.
