Runes of Leadership still viable?

Found out my mesmer still had leadership runes which were a p.i.t.a. to acquire... But checking meta builds... and there aren't any good builds using those. Am I too late ._. ?

Leadership Runes are one of the few sets I would use an Upgrade Extractor (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Upgrade_Extractor) on to save.

That is IF you do not WvW. If you semi regularly WvW, the cost of 6 gold + 450 Testimony of Heroics (1g+75 ToH per Rune) is not to bad.

Unfortunately, no Chrono build currently uses the rune and it's net benefit of 10% more boon duration has lost it's high value with new gear like Diviner and overall less need for boon duration on chrono currently.

We'd prefer rune of packs; so with power/precision and cool mights and fury that can help to maintain the 25 mights or cap fury if you don't have a nice druid, sword DH etc ; you lose 10% BD compared to leadership you can recover with the sigil, or Diviner trinkets.Plus, if you play with alacrity renegade, you don't really need a lot of BD, so even runes of pack are not recommended (we'd prefer scholar, eagle, whatever DPS runes).Other wise if you play "tank chrono" + druid, no ones cares, really: play the runes you want, no one will know.

Thanks you two for responding. I feared as much.I do WvW sometimes and started collecting the ToHs for a while, but it's still a shame I put those hours in the DS meta.

Rune of leadership was great before diviner gear since it was hard to get high BD.Since then pack runes provide more.Also with diviner gear, it is better to run only one chrono. And with Sieze the moment you dont need BD at all.
