Why does this sub-forum exist?

You’re never getting any help from Anet in here. There might as well just be a closed stickied thread saying nothing but “Send a ticket”.

It exist cause many people can advice if a ticket is needed and what to expet from it. Someone asks why he/she didn't had a response to a ticket in 6 hours and learns that the average response time is 72 hours.

I think you will find that many players are helped by other players that just happen to know the answer to their issues. Also, occasionally, Devs do post here.

There has literally been no response other than merging of threads by Anet.

Well, firstly, I think they do read (most of) it, even if they don't always respond.

Secondly, I personally like to be able to see that lots of other people are having the same issue.

Like Error 42, atm, for example.

Thirdly, I'm far less likely to send in a ticket, if I see it's an already known about issue.

So, it probably cuts down on their ticket load.

Would be nice if there were a few more responses, though.
