How exactly is damage on weapons calculated?

I just noticed it while checking the skill descriptions for writing an answer to another topic.I wanted to compare the values of Unload and Three Round Burst and noticed something i dont understand at all.Unload in my case shows 316 Damage, so 316 x 8 means 2528 https://imgur.com/RjEK8qiThree Round Burst in my case shows 1500 x 3, so 4500 https://imgur.com/Arksm6fso logically TRB should deal a higher damage, shouldnt it? Especially when you consider that my Rifle is a Legendary (Predator) with a Force and Accuracy Sigil (yeah i dont need it, i know)my Pistols are only exotic with just an Accuracy Sigil.Yet...this happens...TRB hit for https://imgur.com/pjPCtN3 4886. (1552, 1636, 1698, all critical)Unload nukes a target with 7k to 10k damage without malice, buffs or so https://imgur.com/F9Po4aQ all the buffs are from one skill use, in this case 8098 (1046, 434, 1061, 1089, 1089, 1117, 1117, 1145, only one non-crit)

now checking my stats for pistols its about right, i have a 207,6% critical modifier, so 316 * 3.076 is around 972, close enough to the 1046 from the first hit.for the rifle on the other hand this should be much MUCH higher, even critical it hit for just its base-value. with the critical bonus each shot should have hit for 4614, not for 1552.

or am i wrong? is that possibly a bug where rifle-crits are not correctly calculated?edit: i just stripped naked to try to get a non-crit with trb, and it only hits for 595 while unload hits for 387or does the damage description on TRB mean that all 3 hits together are 1500, so 500 each?

GW2 Wiki page on damage

Some skills list multiple strikes of Direct Damage. Each strike is treated independently as to whether it hits or misses and for the application of modifying effects. Using "Damage (2x): 500" as an example, the base damage of each strike is 250. Each strike that hits will have relevant modifying effects applied to it (crit, glancing, etc.).

Unload , damage wise, is far stronger than TRB in damage coefficient as well as effective power due to more might generated.

Its not a +207%. Also all tooltip damage is calculated based on a target with ~2597 armour . That target golem has around 2200 armour.
