This is because your traffic will still need to travel the same distance from your home to your ISP to the ArenaNet servers and a VPN only makes this longer. For games, I would recommend not using any VPN and selecting a territory closest to you.If you HAVE to use a VPN, for example, because your connection to ArenaNet is otherwise blocked, I would say: Try them out for a bit. Most VPN services come with a free trail period. Use this to determine if it is easy to use and what your performance and network stability is. Your mileage may vary.
