I've crafted 2 precursors and both times I always just used whatever salvage kit I had for normal gear, so it's a good thing any one will work or I'd have totally messed it up!Considering how many people use the copper-fed salvage-o-matic for everything except exotics and pieces where they really want the upgrade component I can imagine a lot of people would have messed up the precursor crafting if you had to use a high quality or special kit.
