On the matter of the Caladbolg weapons.

I'm interested in getting the Caladbolg Selana dagger but I'm a little confused as to how to go about it. The wiki says that I should complete the 'Knight of the Thorn' story missions with my main, then craft a couple of things, then do those missions again on a second character to get the weapon...? Also, it seems to suggest that I must already have an Ascended weapon to trade in for the Caladbog one. Can someone clear this up for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Been a while since I did it, but you get awarded a caladbolg ascended wep. you can trade it back in to the NPC to unlock the other caladbold weapon skins. I'm sure someone else will hop on and give more detailed help.

I'm guessing that the broken Caladbog Greatsword is the one they're talking about. I'll be sure to get the collection achievement during the final process, too.
