  1. Why do you care what it looks like as long is it does what you need? 😀 Anyway my go to is Logitech G600. Plenty of programmable side buttons that are easy for my thumb to click and fits well in my hand. It has been very durable and lasted me over 6 years.
  2. Yeah that is one thing I wondered about The submit anonymous form at least required people to submit some verification information in the form. Now it is just email saying you can't login that is kind of hidden on the Trouble Logging In page. I wonder how many emails they get these days stating something like, "I can't login," with very little other required information for verification. That maybe takes more responses from support to ask for and validate information. I don't know. It just seemed like an odd change to me from, "Fill out this form with as much guided information as possible," to "just email us and please include this info " Anyway I don't work for support so I guess the new version works better for them. My original post was more thinking it would have been nice if Anet updated this part of the forum to note the change instead of us finding it out later by accident and after suggesting the anonymous feature for a very long time, especially how often the topic comes up. Whatever. Side note: I'm done here on the forums, not related to the above at all. I don't even play GW2 much anymore and I have spent more time here over the years than I should have. It is time to move on. I only mention this because my not participating here anymore does not mean I have been banned like some may think, haha. Have fun all and good luck. 😀
  3. No one here can answer that. Some tickets take more time than others the usual goal is 72 hours or less but it could take longer. Your friend will have to wait for a response and also check their spam mail folder in the event the response from support went there.
  4. As mentioned apparently they want people that can't login to use support@arena.net now. Not sure why they made the change but maybe that email goes to people that more frequently deal with login issues. Who knows?
  5. If you can't login to the support page you can submit your request to support@arena.net.
  6. I think many players with multiple accounts didn't buy them. There have been a few giveaways for the full core game over the years. So many took advantage of those for login rewards. Some daily login rewards can be converted to gold and then transferred to the main account. Laurels can be used to buy crafting bags and then sell the mats on the TP. Then of course there are also the mystic coins, 20 per cycle. Also there have been times when the game was on sale. So buying another account at a discounted price pays for itself in daily login rewards in several months compared to buying gems and converting them to gold.
  7. Sigh... The person I replied to said they regularly give away the episodes not they have given away some episodes. But even if that is what they were referring to I don't think giving away 4 episodes outside of the launch window or return to window out of all living world episodes over the years is really regularly giving away the episodes. But that's just my opinion.
  8. They have done it once during the "return to" last year that they did as a place holder leading up to the EoD. I would not call that regularly. But if you mean by regularly it is free when if a player logs in during the episode then yeah then it is free. But I don't think the later is what people are talking about here.
  9. I think a fair middle ground for new players since HoT is free with PoF would be for Anet to include all living world episodes up to PoF for free for those that buy PoF or the EoD plus PoF and HoT collection. So that would include living world 2 and 3. That way it isn't giving away everything because I understand that content takes money to make. I think that would go a long way toward attracting new customers and goodwill without the surprise of "you also need to buy this all of this if you want everything" and gets them going on the living world up to PoF as they play the game. Also I do think they could be a bit more clear on what and what isn't included on their sales page and maybe offer a "Total collection" for lack of a better term that includes the expansions and all living world episodes at a slight discount if purchased at the point of sale.
  10. Okay my apologies for misunderstanding. I thought it was referring to some big name MMO Youtube personality. My mistake.
  11. Absolute legend on youtube? The channel has 15 subscribers. 🙂 That aside, yes I think Anet should move forward with the Steam release. I think it would bring in a lot of new players.
  12. US here. I just looked on Amazon and it seems the soundtrack is indeed sold in 3 separate parts for $7.99 each. They are listed as sound track part one (20 tracks), part two (20 different tracks) and part three (19 different tracks) . It lists each track available under each part. So it does seem that you have to buy them all separately on Amazon if you want them all.
  13. Yeah the "bubble head" is the ascended Diver's Breather. Rather expensive and a long term goal due to all the swim speed infusions needed to get it. But it's good to have long terms goals. Good luck on your journey.
  14. Yeah but that seems like extra work when they could indeed fix their website instead of having to reply to a bunch of , "I can't login to support because of the login loop," requests. But again that's just me. As for when the 'anonymous' feature was disabled, I looked up a post of mine in response to a question, yes a few hours before launch, but I know for a fact the option was there because I checked before posting. Anyway, the GW2 website needs some work in my opinion. Support loop issues, can't buy issues without disabling trackers, etc that we have seen mentioned here many times. Heck I can't even read the GW2 blog posts meant to sell and promote the game on my browser because the pages are broken. I use one of the most popular browsers , Firefox with a very popular ad block and the GW2 blog posts are the only pages out of all the websites I visit that are broken. This wasn't an issue a few years ago or so. I can only imagine how many others this affects. Maybe it's NCSoft influence and they are big into trackers. But I'm not going to go out of my way and change my browser settings, that work on every website I visit aside from this one, to read a blog post about the latest GW2 gem store items Anet is trying to sell. Okay I went on a rant here but I'm giving feedback... It seems to me their website and user interface needs some work given all the complaints instead of asking the customer to jump through hoops.
  15. According to the wiki the only Breathing apparatus that can be crafted is indeed ascended aside from this masterwork one. Anyway here are all the methods of acquiring them: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Breathing_apparatus#Acquisition If you have access to Bitterfrost Frontier farm winterberries and buy one from Slooshoo, that is in my opinion the easiest way to get one that is also ascended , so better than exotic, and is also stat-selectable.
  16. Yeah for some reason they removed the ability to submit a ticket anonymously feature shortly after EoD went live. Not sure why. Perhaps by using the support@arena.net email those with login issues go directly to support staff that handles login issues? Of course it might help if Anet worked on their website to fix the login loop issues many seem to experience, but what do I know? 🤷‍♂️
  17. You have to have it before you can use it. 😛
  18. Okay I'll play along for now, sigh... Say for example someone is at a restaurant and a person comes up to them and starts making comments on their appearance that makes them uncomfortable. It isn't the responsibility of the person being accosted to make it stop. They should not have to say, "Please leave me alone," to get it to end. I have no idea of your background and not judging but perhaps you have never heard of victim blaming?
  19. No. That is not how things work or free speech at all. Free speech does not mean you can just run around saying what ever without repercussions. Free speech means one can state their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction from the government. So yeah you can say what you want but if what you say is rude, crude, or out of line anyone in the private sector can call you out on it and punish you for it. Games can suspend you or ban you for it and it has nothing to do with free speech. And no, it isn't the responsibility of the person that is being verbally assaulted to say, "Please don't do that." It is the responsibility of the player in question not to do so. So yes players that are rude, crude and insulting do need to be called out because their perception of freedom of speech ends when it causes harm to another person.
  20. Interesting. Do you know something we don't? 😛 https://www.kmart.com/guild-wars2-guild-wars-2-rytlock-brimstone-hero/p-A092697424 Anyway, I'm just joking around here. Nothing serious. But if we are looking at getting more players to the game I think perhaps Anet should finally follow up on the Steam release. And perhaps instead of just the core game being free with limitations maybe change it to core + HoT for free with living world season 2 included. And perhaps as limitations like when core went free, HoT elite specs and Revenant not included for F2P players . That content is so old anyway IMO might as well use it to entice new customers. It would give the new free to play people a bigger picture of how the game has expanded beyond core and perhaps encourage them to buy PoF and EoD if they enjoy it.
  21. I think Anet should run some kind of promotion with Sears or perhaps Radio Shack. If they want to stick with the food thing maybe another promotion with Quiznos. 😀
  22. Sigh... It doesn't matter because using those cheats are against ToS be it in PvE, PvP or WvW. Every online game has rules against using such exploits for a reason. But as far as PvE, unchecked exploits and hacks can affect the in game economy. Additionally when someone is doing normal game play, say out harvesting nodes, and sees a bunch of players teleporting to the nodes it looks really bad for the game. Also those that can for example teleport to nodes all over maps and harvest in minutes what takes a normal player a significant amount of time then the cheater is indeed given a bigger advantage over the non-cheater. It may not always be a head to head contest, or something to win or lose as you like to put it, but people don't like playing games where other people are cheating and are given an unfair advantage. That's why again every online game has rules against such things because cheats are detrimental to the game and the players. I think you actually know these things but for some reason you just want to argue about it.
  23. That's because the in game support system is not meant for customer support. It is used to report bugs, exploits and other issues and the window even states that you will not get an individual response. It then states for customer support to go to the support website and submit a ticket.
  24. While not such of a huge impact on PvE, people using cheats do certainly affect PvP and WvW. There have been people using certain cheats to teleport or increase speed for example which gives them an advantage in player verses player environments. Here is an interesting BBC news article from a time when Anet publicly banned a cheater. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-32654414
  25. Well to not go too much off topic but where I live traffic lights are in order, red on top which means stop when illuminated, yellow in the middle when illuminated which means the light is about to go red (top) and green on the bottom when illuminated which means clear to go. So it makes it easy for people with color blindness to know what means what. If a traffic light was just one light that changed from red to green it would certainly cause problems. But again, I agree. I wish Anet would consider colorblindness. I'd even be in favor for Anet to allow someone to make a 3rd party add-on that allows users to change indicators to the color of their choice or a colorblind add-on. I bet someone would make one with no cost to Anet if allowed.
