But you can actually get the dome to cover the gens if they are close to the wall and you place the dome on the top edge of the wall. They changed them with the July 24, 2018 update i see. And the tooltip mention nothing about where you cannot place the domes, this is just lazy and a stupid thing to have when it's so easy to work around.
