that your story should be more entertaining then accurate.

if it has too much inaccuracies, just call it an AU story or something

As derd said though, when writing fan fiction it's more important to just be entertaining for the audience. Especially with how often ArenaNet retcons their own lore via proclaiming prior lore was unreliable narrators.
