WvW rewards

we do not need end of week rewards.

What we need is:

BETTER rewards. On par with fractals at least. Even if you double reward track&pip chest rewards fractals and lw farms are much better. So we should at least get that much. This would attract more players and maybe keep a couple of players from going off when there is a wipe or two.Combine this with pips for EOTM and more AP, and we could even attract the AP hunter crowd. Stacked servers are not so much of a problem, if every server is stacked and a bunch of people are hanging around in EOTM ready to jump in, if needed.

Relinks happen every 2 months. That's plenty of time to gather gold (I highly doubt people are paying real money to get gems)The majority of bandwagoners are like whales, and definitely do pay real money. That's why the devs won't remove transfering, and why WvW is in bad shape, because its one of the main sources of income for the game and always has been.

There's even entire guilds that bandwagon players who can't make gem purchases by converting gems to gold. One particular guild on NA was infamous for offering its several hundred players transfers on every relink, by holding tens of thousands of Mystic Coins in their guild bank that were purchased using gems to gold by all the guild leaders who made money from streaming guild fights nearly 24/7.

All they needed was to get started and then it became a self-sustaining process.

WvW has always been like that in this game, and many of us blame that failed system for sapping its potential away. In fact if you limited transfers to being gold only you'd see alot less bandwagoning, not more, because WvW isn't that profitable. And "dailies" don't really count because players need to spend that gold on other things. It barely pays for food at this point when you're eating 1g/hour.

There's a reason gold rewards have been often requested in skirmish tracks.

Yeah. Compared to PvP the reward track progress is pretty slow. I know people say "but you get other loot" - but that usually is trash loot. The thing is that also there is no "sense of accomplishment". Cause in the long matchups you can just lose the stuff you defended when going offline. During night. And the points and stuff in the background ... are just not interesting.

Winning a quick match in PvP gives more sense of accomplishment. Cause you actually played the full match and you immediately see the results.
