And just to make things clear about my point of view is. I got all masteries from Heart of Thorns by playing the game. The key to unlock those masteries was playing the game, the maps of that region and its events. In Path of fire, since griffon, unlock masteries and mounts has become a job. You have to actually compromise your time and log into the game to work on it if you ever want it unlocked. You can't just log in, have fun in the game doing events and get it unlocked. You have to go from location to location to unlock collecting stuff to unlock something useful to explore the maps and play events well. When I try to follow comanders using my griffon and they all using their skyscale I stay far behind, I can't keep up with them. So I end up not having fun. When it is just a few things that you can take a day or 2 and do them, it is great. But you have to put a lot of time and effort into it. It stopped being fun for me who doesn't have that much free time to spare anymore. I want to log in, have fun and eventually get my rewards, mounts, unlocked, by having fun. I can't log into gw2 to have a second job trying to unlock skyscale. I only wanna relax and maybe, make new friends. My opinion, no one has to agree.

Before I start I want to say that it is my opinion and I don't care if you don't agree with whatever I am saying and you don't have to read this either. I've not been so active playing guild wars 2 for at least 3 years now. The reason is I have a good Job and life to deal with. I have both expansions released so far and all LWS episodes unlocked. I always log in once in a while to not miss any new episode. But I can't or even feel like I can be back playing. The reasons are because the things I want to do take in the game so long, but so long, that I can't compromise myself and my time to do them anymore. As an example. It has been over a year now that I've been trying to complete my Skyscale collection in order to get my mount and everytime I do some part of this collection I don't feel like doing it anymore. It will probably take another 2 years to complete. 2 days ago I logged into the game and tried to do "Saving skyscale collection" It had many subcollections to complete. Ice, Fire, Water, Courage, Fear and before I start this, I finished the other one about the eggs and had to wait 2 hours to start this one. This took me the whole day to finish Saving Skyscale. The amount of time I can't spend playing a game anymore. And the reason why I was never able to complete the eggs collection before is the same. I am pretty sure there are a lot of people who enjoy this. And a MMORPG games should try to invest and keep players who would actually support the game not only with a few hours per day but also buying whatever there is for sale in the game store. But we can't if even to get a mount we have to spend days and days wasting our time into a ***** collection. Our time is valuable as too. I logged into the game today and checked what is the next part of collections I should get for my skyscale and I didn't feel like doing it today. So I wont be online untill the day I feel like doing it. The day I have plenty of time to spend in Guild Wars 2, that I have nothing better to do with my life. In 2 years I will finally be able to fly freely onto the skies of tyria.

Hello Community, I am a returning player. I usually main a mirage mesmer, although I have 5 other professions. 2 thieves (Yeah, Criticize me), 1 guard, 1 elementalist and 1 necromancer.I used to do a lot of stuff over a year ago before I stop playing and now I am trying to get back into the game. I feel like I need some motivation to stay and I think that would help if I had people to do stuff with. I am mostly into the PVE content. I have commander tags, because I used to run some hp/mp trains, lead some metas, bounties, etc. But I am not gonna lie that I am a bit rusty so I am probably not doing it for a while. helping people to achieve stuff was always parto fo my fun. If there is any active guild out there, with a lot of stuff to do and a lot of people to play with and would like a new member, just let me know :)I have both expansions and all lws unlocked. I feel you. I just made a post about it. The difference is, you did it in a party with someone else, I did it alone. I spent over 2 hours, specially because of Pale Tree and at the end with Mordremoth, I couldnt finish. It seemed like those beams to glide disappeared, I wouldnt find one, fall an die. and being over 2 hours, repeating each boss over than 5 times, I decided to give up. It is not worth it. Story mode should be about it, not about some puzzle or hard mode game mechanics. I'd agree if I had to face it in a dungeon or something else, but not on story mode.
