  1. Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure what you mean by "a player that you have not loaded in yet. "This is not happening to any of my characters, but I see it all around me on other players.
  2. Back into the game after being away for awhile, and have been noting something remarkable. Now I'm seeing many duplicate armor skins, of two distinct types: Basically, one type is a generic heavy (silver metallic) armor,The other is a generic light/medium armor, which is a brown/tan tunic combo. In each of these two, they are all exactly alike. Moreover, there are no facial or body distinguishing features at all -- they all seem to be a black void! Sometimes, in a city like Lions Arch for example, I will see dozens of these skins all gathered together in one location. Why would all these players opt to have the exact same skins as each other? Can anybody enlighten me about this phenomenon? Thanks in advance.
  3. You are asking too much from the forum. You are asking someone to research a novel, edit it.and report back to you with a freebee answer. Do you think that is fair? Maybe you could do a bit more research on your own, and then, ask very short and distinct questions about specific particulars. Or, maybe you could book one of the GW2 online gurus who willhold your hand for $100/hour, and walk you all the way up to Skyscalefor only a half-day of what you make for a living? Capisce?
  4. Don't waste your time. It is TRULY a massive time-waster.There are many other ways on GW2 to spend your time, with much greater rewards.
  5. If you are in possession of :(1) a Utility Primerand(2) an Experience Booster. Then, how does the "timing" really work? A) The Utility Primer states that " Any utility item consumed while the primer is active will have the same remaining time as the primer, rounded up to the next hour. Does not stack." and B) The Experience Booster states that "Grants the following benefits for 2 hours: +50% Experience in All Game Types+50% Reward Track Gain in PvP and WvWUp to 100% Bonus Experience for Kill StreaksSooooooooooo, Does this mean that: One can start the XP booster and run it for 1 hour and 55 minutes, and thenadd the Utility Primer at that point, and then get another 12 hours from it --giving you almost 14 hours of XP boost . . . or Does it mean that the Utility Primer has to be started first, and then XP Booster can only be started immediately after that to get just the 12 hours boost? I'm sure somebody SMART here has looked into this and has a succinct answer.Looking forward to that response!!
  6. I just don't get it. I'm a newb Rev. Just started one up a couple days ago, I'm 32 now and having the blast of my life. Raised 2 other toon to 80: Warrior and Guardian. Actually Berserker and FireBrand. Not particularly overwhelmed with either of them. But . . .. The Rev is da Smarts! Whack the kitten out of everything in my path, day 1 to day 4 so far. No complaints. Bash them, Smash them, Trash them. It's routine.
  7. Just rolled a new Revenant a couple days ago. Am now at level 32, and I seem to be stuck with Dwarf and Assassin stances. How do I swap out one of them and substitute Demon or Centaur?I've read the Wiki, and I can't seem to find the mechanic that allows swapping stances in and out. Thanks in advance.
  8. THATwas a very nice explanation. Thanks for your neat expository. So, being said, the definition of the word selfish here seems to be in reference to groups. And if one is not used to grouping much, and does mostly solo, except for PUG stuff, and just occasional fall-ins for individual instances,Then the selection of your build, and other attributes, points to whether or notyou are suitable for a group situation. And THAT defines the meaning of "selfish".Yes? Is that correct?
  9. I'm sorry if I did not make myself clear: To call someone selfish implies that they are only in it for themselves. That is complete nonsense. What you offer, is what you offer. No more, no less.Being judgemental is being superfluous, you obviously have an ego to overcome.
  10. The whole Storyline nonsense is completely jumping the shark. The Personal, Season 2, 3, 4, HoT, and PoF storylines are totally and completely lame. The lack of imagination on the part of GW2 developers is wildly evident.
  11. I'm new to GW2, but there is something strange I've found about the use of the word "Selfish". I've got a couple of 80 level characters already, but I decided to start up a Guardian from scratch. As I began to peruse this forum, I became strangely aware of the use of the word "selfish". For example . . . I'm now approaching the point to choose my Elite specification. As I looked through the discussions I began to get a handle on the build differences between Dragonhunter and Firebrand. And I saw a lot of talk about how Dragonhunter was a more "selfish" build, than was Firebrand. Excuse me?? Somehow the build I choose for my character is "selfish" depending on what viewpoint you are coming from????? What Nonsense. All the time I help unknown, non-guild players, to revive them, to help them survive a difficult mob, to help them finish off several kinds of instances.I give what I can to anybody I can help, and any time with no expectation that they will do the same to me.BUT, that is because I have had the benefit of receiving the same from many others in the game. And You are going to call me "Selfish" because of MY BUILD!!?!?! Are you nuts???
  12. How do you bind different mounts to individual hot-keys?
  13. In other words . . .Life is tough,You suffer through it . . .And then you die. Been like that for pretty much around 50,000 years now, don't you think. So, you make the best of the blink of an eye existence that you can.
