  1. Daredevil is already kinda ninja-ish thing.  Anet really has to be careful if they indeed go for the shinobi theme with dual swords with this overlapping.   Not that I object to anything. It's just very.... interesting to see how they distinct it from daredevil.

  2. I mean... I don't buy EoD just because of Elem....

And my guess will be ..............................rifle or .........greatsword,  but hopefully:  BEST yet, longbow

Remember mesmer, greatsword doesn't mean melee

  3. I'm afraid, and seriously so, that there's a decent chance we might get rifle with magic bullets, based on one of the icons.  It's abit..... theme-breaking as far as I'm concerned.  Definitely not a fan if it came to that.  Long bow: "ohh no....."

Hope we get dual-swords as many have said.

And the next cry thread. You don’t like them? That’s fine, just make a Gen 2 then. No need to spam the forums.

OP can express his take as much as you can.  Forum isn't for "shut it and go away".  Opinion don't have to exclude criticism.  And the OP's opinion is nothing of "crying".  That's perfectly constructive criticism.

I don't get this attitude of "don't like it? walk away" .  Millenials do this alot, and  often as lazy way to shrug off the issue rather than trying to confront it. How are we supposed to improve things when people just quietly go away when things don't go as desired.   Alot of QoL changes we enjoyed nowadays are the results of all those "crying" over years. We got it because people  didnt just walk away and play another game.

What if someone tell you this. "  You don't like reading criticism? That's fine. Just go to those fawning rosy threads and read those. No need to spam this thread."

You can disagree with the OP, and welcomed to do, but no one tells anyone what to do/not to do.

There's about 5 or more active threads alone, all the exact same tone: "Where content, not enough content, no Tengu Race, Game Dead, Legendary sucks, no content expansion". That ain't constructive.

I don't get where exactly"where contents, not enough contents" threads are as the majority since we are debating about "the majority being negative". Even if there are indeed those 4 or 5threads,  those are just 5 people who started it. But there are tons of people putting things they like and dislike about the tease. Lets not discount them. People generally agree on the fact that the new legendary are unimaginative as they look like a glorified gems shop items. That thing is one those things that needed to be reflected.   But hold these thoughts for now,  we'll talk more when the testing in 3 weeks.

Opinions being shoved as facts as if the devs did or said them is literally misinformation and false narrative. I can understand criticism, some are genuinely good when raised. Hardly anything being stated in this forum by the vocal minority are criticism. Shaving off the negativity doesn't make it any less misinformation or false narrative.

I disagree with that generalization of this forum.  Especially the feedbacks for the first tease are mostly constructive and people put alot of effort in it.  Quite few of "this game is dead" kinda response, but i don't quite get the dark picture that you painted. "Shaving off the negativity doesn't make it any less misinformation or false narrative"  I don't know how you get that conclusion. But sure, you do you.

The problem with your response is that the OP didn't say shut up. He only pointed out that being overly negative isn't healthy. It is possible to provide feedback without the drama

OPP practically said don't buy it and play something else if we don't like it. That's basically shut up on the offering criticism part. He didn't say anything about "offering response but don't do  "overly negative" response" He told us to go else where if we don't like all together. That's the problem with your interpretation of my response.

It's one thing to offer criticism, it's another to just blatantly spew misinformation and stupid narratives like OmG gAmE dYiNg. Most, if not all, of the stuff posted on this forum and reddit are literally just cries of misinformation and false narratives because people want something that they didn't get

I wouldn't call those are false narrative or misinformation.  Those are opinions that you may or may not disagree with and you are free to offer rebuttals with factual data.  If you peel off the negativity off those comments, it still is helpful in revealing things that the game does not or lack in offering. Regardless,  that does not change the fact that we have to offer criticism, especially to stubborn people like Anet. Pressing criticism will keep them on their toes at the very least.

  9. The point of criticism is to improve the game, especially in this relatively early stage. Whether positive or negative inputs, The devs at least will know what the audience like and dislike, thus maybe make changes as necessary. What's what these previews are for. Otherwise, they wouldn't bother with the tease and just release the game when the date comes.  Community input is not a waste of time/nerve.

With your philosophy of "don't like it? get another game", are we supposed to bounce from games to games until we reach the perfect game

This  apathetic thinking of  "let's shut up and receive whatever given to us. We don't have to right to have input.  We shouldn't give any input. If we don't like,  walk away, but remember we should not have any opinion whatever soever".

Is that a right attitude  to help improve a product?

  10. The blade attacks should show the blades clear with clarity. The oversized  projectile trails  overshadowed everything, you couldn't even make out the blades. Basically everything look not much different than a staff attack.

Description:  form a massive blade to blah blah

Me:  Where is the massive blade in that animation?

  11. I absolutely agree that this design trend is simply lazy and unimaginative.  I hope you all remembered that we just HAD  a crystal legendary greatsword.   For those of you who are content with this level of design,  Don't you ever at least ponder that  we should have Cantha theme legendary weapons?

  12. Not a big fan of the whole Aurene theme thing.  I feel like it's a lazy design.  Basically they just slap in glowing white/iridescent blobs and there you go.  I would like to reminded everyone that we just had a crystal-theme legendary greatsword.   I'd prefer the legs to be of Cantha theme instead.   I hope they change this boring direction in the next 6 months.  Whoever that thought up this Aurene legendary theme, please take a long vacation and reflect upon this. Please! This is a mistake.

Fishing:   Sounds very disjointed.  It just exists for the sake of variety and that alone.

As a side note: i hated the name Aurene from day 1, sounds yuppy. It looked  like they pick a name from thebump.com  for baby names.  I will give Anet some credit that they at least didn't name that dragon Ashley, Betty or Jenifer, but I'm sure these were in the top five concept pick list.  Imagine wielding a legendary weapon associated with that name...

  13. Yeh I tried warhorn today in 2v2.  It's laughable.  You pratically have to move to melee range to get daze effect.  It's awkward for a support weapon to be used to full effect by moving yourself into the heat of the battle, especially when rangers spend most of their time away from foes.   They might argue "well , it can help you to run away from melee attackers".  Yeh, I always switch to warhorn and use a buff skill to run away.   This radius should be 450 at least.    Or they can do either fear 1s  or slow  at 600 range instead.   It's like necro has fear on demands anywhere they want with marks.

  14. Not just the changes to rangers are bad.  Other classes have hardly any  praises. I have been also watching reactions to these changes and forum responses.  Super negative.  Probably one of the worst responses.  It does seem like the balance are done by  college interns and if they ever had experience with game balancing.  People wonder if they ever played the game.  Their evaluations and justifications of changes are out of touch, unrealistic and seems like they are actually playing a different game. For example "Berserker has been in a great place with strong support, power, and condition builds that are successful in all content."  LOL . Looks like this game's days are numbered at this rate

  15. They are generally out of touch, this has been the case for years.  I was bracing for a nerf on my necro, but these "developers" actually end up buffing the condis LOL  because when they see the condi storms from necros in pvp , they go "oh, dang, lets make it even worse " .   Thanks I guess. That's the only thing positive i got from the patch.  But it's sad for ranger yeh,  he's a fav alt of mine.

  16. DH is probly better at roaming , extra gap closing and retreating move. Good at overall most gameplay mode. Firebrand shines more at group play, and can suffer abit 1 vs. 1 unless you do condi. I pick DH because I'm too lazy to change up build. One build to run them all.

  17. Nonconstructive Post . Nothing else need to be said. How many years now and we still got these people running around asking for nerfs on classes that they got pawned hard by. Just go to forum of any class, you can see "nerf guards", "nerf weaver", "nerf mesmer", etc... apparently definition of "OP" is "i got pawned and it hurts so bad". Should rangers ask nerfs to elem, mesmers, and guardians for spamming reflects all the time in groups?
