  1. The only reason I log in is to try to take this boss down. First day on my neco, no problem. Over ten times on my ranger, and not once have I downed him. It's pathetic. Guess I'll go back to my other MMO.
  2. I just lost an hour of my life trying to complete this story. I've taken down a god and friggin' dragons. And I can't get these two dogs down. I am not that bad of a player, hell I raid mythics in other MMOs, so there is no excuse for this mechanic to be this bad. It's poor design and poor execution. It needs to be nerfed, fixed, and otherwise explained so that I don't need to spend my entire life studying this friggin fight. I am so pissed I'm ready to go back to other mmos and abandon this game. Again.
  3. I can see how it would be boring for some. Having played MMOs now for over a decade, I realize that play-styles are as unique as each personality. I think that's why I love it so much, because I get to see other people's take on a system and how they tweak it in such a way to make it theirs. Keep trying, is all I have to say. You'll find the right combo. Unfortunately, I'm not that creative, so I stuck with Scourge and I love this spec. In fact, it's what keeps me playing GW2 when The-Other-MMO-That-Cannot-Be-Mentioned keeps trying to draw me back.
  4. I am in the midst of doing all the content for it because of the new skin. I didn't plan on getting that mount as the default skin didn't interest me but damn, I wish I had done it sooner. I am having so much fun doing these challenges, new skin or not. The idea that one could work hard to raise a creature that becomes your mount makes it so much more meaningful. I thought getting the gryphon was cool, but now I am in love with the skyscale. Mind you, I only returned to the game about 1.5 months ago after a 5 year hiatus, taking a break from World of Warcraft (WoW) raiding (I am in a semi-hardcore raiding guild who is taking a break until the next major patch). So glad I did because GW2 open world content is turning out to be far more engaging and fun than even raiding in WoW. I managed to complete the storyline for all 4 seasons in this time and get all the mounts (save the skyscale, obviously) and whatnot too. I haven't tried Fractals or Raiding yet but I suspect it is also a lot of fun. All in all, ArenaNet has done a really good job of making the game engaging for solo players. And the community is awesome! Love you guys for sharing your banners, mentors, and world content engagement. I am truly impressed. Great job all!
  5. This was very helpful. Because of you I was finally able to complete this part of the story. I hate the way GW2 doesn't really provide adequate information like weather something requires a group or can be done solo and here's how. Guides are helpful, but in truth the game-play should be much more intuitive than it is.
