Same thing happened to me. But, after I bought the recipes on the actual character with that proper crafting discipline, the recipes showed up even though it wouldn't consume and I got the same error message. So, if you bought the recipe on the right character, re-check the crafting station. It fixed it for me. Still annoying, but easily enough solved it seems.

Can't complete dailies like this. I'm not sure how giving us less options made it through development. This is ridiculous. Let us choose the dailies we want. Cap them if need be, but we should have the option to choose from all the dailies available that day like we did before. This has honestly soured me on the entire expansion. It's too big of a screw up. It's made the system so much worse. It also keeps people from doing things they might not otherwise do, like WvW or PvP - and even finding that they enjoy them. And those modes could certainly use more players.

I typically play like a fiend, but I've taken about a month break (very rare for me). I came back today thinking I'd get back at it and it's a freaking lagfest. Major skill lag, lag moving items in inventory, lag during fights, lag gathering, etc. It's basically unplayable as it is. I enjoyed my break, which was surprising for me, and to come back to this is pretty unfortunate. I thought I might get into things again and go back to playing like crazy, but with the state of the servers I'm wondering if I won't just call it a day again and move on to other things. It doesn't seem like Anet is addressing it either, from a glance at the forums. No communication? Glad to see some things haven't changed.

I'm having the same issue the last few days with ping. I'm in the US and I don't ever have problems. Not sure what the deal is. Ping spiking over and over.

Not even close... There might be a few, but most of FA is players that have been there for years. Well, folks from Mag left years ago, so... I was one of them. FA has a ton of former Mag. It wasn't recent.

I maxed my cook and pretty much decided never to bother crafting the food based on the system that was already in place. So, they decided to make it worse?
