Yes, unfortunately. I have no problem getting any of the other "treasure" items but in the last 6 weeks that I have been hardcore fishing it has not dropped. Thank you for answering me. Now I just know I am RNG cursed.

Ele Lady, I am not attempting to remove the topic of conversation from your thread. However since you seem to be actively doing fishing I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. For over a month I have been trying to complete my CSAMM as well. However the Tarnished Bronze Astrolabe does not seem to drop. I have asked others in my guild on repeat if they have had one drop for them lately. No one has had it drop for them either. Have you happened to seen a astrolabe drop for you?

I put less time into it this week since it is starting to get pretty depressing. Another 12 hours with gathering boosters and still no Astrolabe. I even have asked several of my guild members that are fishing to keep an eye out for it. So far no one has mentioned finding one.

When I was in Gendarran I would actually cycle through a loop of river and lake. I have probably spent about 10 hours in Gendarran alone over the past week and a half. I just started using gathering boosters yesterday, but my problem isn't getting the aquatic treasure drops, I just for the life of me can not get an astrolabe.

I have spent many hours on this one thing alone in various maps that have lake fish with various baits, trying different characters and playing with fishing power. 725-775 seems to give me the most treasure drops and I have gotten many of every one of them except the Astrolabe. I even dumped a bunch of PvP and WvW potions into the reward tracks and stacked up multiples of every "treasure" except the Astrolabe. It has to have a precursor level drop rate or is missing from the drop table. RNGesus can't be this bad.

Reading the forum it appears that this meta has been bugged, and ignored, for years. As I am attempting to do the gloriously crafted 100 portal spikes achievement, I have been camping this event for a couple weeks now. Folke almost always stalls, no exaggeration, I would easily be comfortable with claiming a 90%+ non movement rate on the NPC. Sola is fairly reliable but probably has a 15% stall rate. Afia is the most reliable and I have seen her stall once. This doesn't technically stall out the whole meta event as people then use their skyscales to damage the spikes to progress the event. The problem with this is that there is 0 opportunity to advance your portal spike count when this occurs. Adding to the issue is that since this occurs regularly, when there are groups of people doing the event, some will actually just go skyscale fire the portals preventing even a functioning lane from allowing portal spike progress. I would like to suggest that a portal spike increment be added to some stage of each lane as well. Either in destroying the portal in any manner or perhaps in defeating the realm keeper that spawns after the portal is destroyed. This way even if the event is bugged or people use the skyscale to bypass the natural progression of the event, some progress can be made on this achievement.

Meta is about synergy and efficiency. Compositions are desired because they work effectively. Maybe you discover a new meta build, maybe you don't. Maybe your build is good, maybe its not. However many people like to stick to the tried and true so that they succeed in a quick manner. You most certainly can create whatever build you want and play it. However, if you are going to do group content then that has to be acceptable to the group you are with. I think that will be your biggest hurdle.

Just got done doing the strike and went to my home instance to farm. It finally showed up and is not on top of or inside of anything. This was on an alt charr who has not been to the new zone nor did they buy it.

Just updated and logged in. I have a charr toon parked in BC that I farm my home with. My main is a charr that I purchased the node with. I bought the node with the concept that it, like every node before it, would be available to whatever toon I decided to farm my instance with. I would not have spent the gold on it right now had I known it would act character specific. Perhaps in the future for completion purposes, but not right this moment. I also feel that if its true intention is to be character bound, then it is not conveyed clearly, especially with the history of how other nodes work.

They said those of us who purchased PoF already but not HoT should see HoT unlocked on our accounts within the next week during the announcement this afternoon.
