It's not about getting easier games, what I mean with "The more you play the more you lose" is the fact that you have a higher chance of people that drag you down (toxic players, afk players, bots, win traders, disconnecters, etc..." Example: I just had a game where a toxic player was in my match after the third time, he kept telling everyone "Get objectives !" While he was solo mid and the rest of us went to Bell (Revenge of the Capricorn).
  2. For PvP to work we need active game masters ! People who AFK in PvP should at least get a month BAN. We need people who care about PvP and the PvP community but we as players can't do anything other than right click report and Anet does kitten all with that kitten. I'm tired of this constant struggle to try to get PvP rank points, in the end it doesn't matter. The more you play the more you lose. All you can do is do your 10 placements matches, pray to kittening Christ that he plays with you and get your rank. Believe me, I have tried to be positive but the systems in place now just make you rage.
  3. Just want to bump this thread. At the moment I'm so kitten triggered. If you compare what PvP is like now compared to beta..... oh yea I want to rage post so hard.
  4. I've posted this as well, years ago... The rank system is so bad that it makes you quit PvP. I really don't get how we should be able to rank up with a system like this. You get thrown in a match with randoms, no way of communicating and your rank is all about the win/loss, any personal effort doesn't make a difference.
  5. [Suggestion] - Trading post Would love to see the trading post get some extra attention. Maybe make the panel scalable or even full screen. Add more filter and search options, for example: food buffs can be difficult to find "fishing power" in search should be enough to get all the fishing power food buffs listed.

  7. Hello, In my opinion the title explains a fact, an issue and a frustration for many PvP players ! The "ranked" matches have in my opinion nothing to do with skill. The Elo system used is nothing but a slot machine, a gamble to keep you going with the idea that you have a chance to improve. How in the world can a system based on wins/losses with a max party size of 2 players and 3 random players be an accurate representation of skill ? Why should such a system be in place ? The same system is also used in other games, I know; and I have never understood why. It shouldn't be impossible to put a more accurate system in place which takes into account personal skill factors, which should also the point of a skill based PvP environment. A win or loss in a game should have an effect , this however should not be the only factor that determines someone skill. What needs to be put in place is some system that takes into account your personal gameplay contributions: damage, revives, base attacks, base defends, interrupts, dodges, healing, downed state finishes, and of course your win/loss. Because let's be honest, right now that animation that rolls around to choose a map could just be used to determine your rank. Don't get me wrong, I love PvP but right now it is just about blaming others which creates a toxic environment. I also get that if a more accurate system would be in place that it could have a counter effect and make a toxic environment in the other direction but even that could be prevented with other features. Signed, A concerned, frustrated PvP player who cares enough about the game to write suggestions for a better game experience.

No, so far away from the truth, the reason why I don't like meta is because I feel like I am more than capable of building my own builds that I truly understand and know what they do.I hate to copy-paste something and then have to learn another playstyle. I can do it, have done it before I just don't enjoy it.Another reason why I am against meta is because I can't afford swapping stats every so often on my ascended gear, + runes, +sigils etc, I don't have any legendary gear. So that was the whole reasoning behind this post , I want to be able to play what I have build instead of playing the "crafting" game and focus on making new pieces or changing pieces etc.
  10. Hi, In GW2 I enjoy a bit of everything to be honest. I'd like to give raiding a try but I do hate the whole "meta" scene, I like to create my own builds and once I feel like I have something that really works very well for me I just want to play it. I don't like changing character, equipment and build all the time.I was wondering are you able to join raids if you don't follow the meta ? :astonished:
  11. I used to main a thief,... now it's not even worth playing anymore. Made a test build with 2.4k toughness and died in 2 warrior skills,.. lol
  12. I really hope that there is going to be more focus on balance.When I started GW2 at beta, the game was not balanced but at least it was way better than any other mmorpg. I really wonder what happened with "Play the way you want to play".PvP is getting more and more frustrating, I'm tired of hearing meta this and meta that. You are always considered a 'noob' when you refuse to play meta and try to make a core build.Clearly I can see why, any core build became pretty much useless with the "elite" specs, God knows why you added that and also had to make them "elite". What I miss is the good old stuff that worked so well and was so much fun.D/D ele, Firebow Warr, Dual pistol thief, etc, etc...I've never liked the new "elite" specs to be honest, I don't enjoy how they feel and play. Weaver for example, I'm sorry but what is that all about, you need to stance dance like a maniac in order to achieve the same things another profession can do with 3 buttons...So many other minor frustrations about balance. Can you please just get to the core of GW1 , what made PvP crazy fun in GW1 is that you had tons of skills and you were able to make the most crazy builds and they worked.Now the community forces you into a playstyle you don't like else you don't belong...Don't like to compare games with one another but it always was the same problem in WoW, they keep adding things but were never able to balance it.I know balance is hard to achieve but this game has several years under its belt and only got worse. Don't want to sound too bitter, GW2 has a lot of good going on as well, but balance it not one of its best features.
  13. "Match is about to begin" , We had a full team and we got stuck. Tried restarting and moving map but nothing seems to help, the "Enter PvP" and "Leave PvP" buttons won't work either. Not able to re-queue.
