    Nothing rivals that sweet unblockable, undodgable, invisible, pulling, AoE, trapping sweet sweet 5k crits per hit minimum DAMAGE.

    The level of annoing is pretty much on par or surpassing the decap thiefs and the whole class >Necromancer<.

    I wanted to point out how op is wrong but here comes this guardian apologist

    It's dodgeable, stunbreakable, breakable by just moving out of max range and it's not invisible. The only thing that's semi correct is that test of faith crits for 5k, and it better considering dh has 11k max health and 3 offensive traitlines.

    Edit: thought he meant spear, not the entire kit.

    Yeah nvm you guys can keep throwing kitten at eachother, anet doesnt read this forum anyway

    Tbh I will say getting a virtuoso on your team is still prolly better then getting a firebrand or willbender on your team.

    Providing the enemy team isnt running weaver, with good rotations on your thief it can side node atleast to somewhat effectiveness. Don't get me wrong your playing at a disadvantage anyway.

    But unless your plat 2 onwards or playing a AT you can outplay with it for alittle bit atleast.

    But yeah, a weaver or tempests presence basically makes you a 4v5 carrying this specc into PvP.

    Its not only reflects and blocks that cucks the playstyle, rev, holo, pretty much any meta roamer shits on virtuoso. You can meme ppl not paying attention to you in teamfights buts thats pretty much it.

    I dont see it being any good as sidenoder, the core signets build is prob better at it

    Instant Smoke Assault is dumb, considering it is based on Rev's Unrelenting Assault which has a 3/4s cast time. I think that's the only real problem.

    Unrelenting assault is so buggy as kitten and doenst work like 40% of the time, and isnt a single target skill.

    Smokescale is a better rev than rev

    Thanks for the advice.  To be clear though, this thread is not about my personal rating.  I am fine with my MMR - it seems roughly right to me given how many hours I’ve played PvP relative to the game mode’s population.  This thread is about getting quality matchups at any given MMR, so that the matches are enjoyable.

    Queuing at prime time also helps as presumably more people are online playing, so its easier to find ppl at the same bracket to put in a match. Doesnt always work that way though, cause you will still be put in matches with ppl ranging from silver to plat2+ rating.

    Key to to find enjoyment in this state of the gamemode is to find a build you enjoy playing and focus more in your play than your teamates, so you are always improving. You can always have impact in a match if you are good enough and sometimes even hard carry.

  5. The population is too small to create balanced matches, one of the reasons you shouldnt take rating too seriously. But if you do, then get yourself a duo and play the busted builds to carry matches, and if that doesnt work for you then get good

    A lot of the desperation on the WvW forums would go away if Anet would give a monthly "state of WvW" update. A small post to highlight what is coming, what topics they want feedback on etc.

    I can give you that.

    Theres nothing coming to wvw this month

    I'm going to be "that guy," and say Saint's Shield was way too strong.  Healing for 6.2k every dodge was really good, and made the Vindicators I fought in WvW nigh immortal.  Healing for 3.5k, while not as strong, is still pretty good.  For comparison, Elementalists have the trait Flow Like Water, which heals for 478 when dodging an attack, with an internal cooldown of 10 seconds.

    Theres no denying the heal was way too strong, but at least to me it was the only thing that made the spec bearable to play and why Im asking for normal dodges now, this 1 dodge feels so awkward and kitten to play, you dont even use it to dodge stuff, it became part of the rotation to do dmg if you take the dmg option, and its bad at even that cause its so telegraphed and doesnt even have full evade frames through the entire animation

    No-Pet-Karate-Ranger

    This is about as "oneshot 100-0" as it gets in WvW atm 😄 + Soulbeast is probably one of the easiest classes if you are just beginning.

    Just stay in soulbeastmode and abuse the broken damagemultipliers from the Rockgazelle. Hitting anything under 6k even with your Autoattackchain is very rare and Hits above 15k happen very often. Pretty busted atm. It melts to condis tho if you dont know how to kite with Greatsword 3 and the Rockgazelle f2. But once you master to keep your distance its a brutal build.

    You have 2 main ways to burst someone almost instantly.

    1) Sicem->Onewolfpack-> Rapidfire. => EEEAAASY 40k damage!

    2)hold your bow-> charge at them with f2(celerity sigil proccs)-> swap to Greatsword(hydromancy sigil proocs)->f1 => EASY 30k damage

    Build doesnt work as good in Pvp tho because you only cleanse 1 condi with sigil of cleansing and Dolyakstance has double the cooldown.

    I still have some gameplay of it on my old youtubeaccount.. lemme link it so you can see^^

    Here! Quality is dogpoo tho :D

    I used to play a similar build but with marksmanship and rune of the mesmer, it works quite well in spvp too u just need to drop the instances and play with the regular utilities everyone uses on ranger. Very fun build, the dmg with gazelle rush and kick are insane with the gs2 buff

    I feel like the current system requires less skill than ever before. I don't know why players keep equating movement and attack speed with skill, it has nothing to do with it. Bursting is the easiest thing you can do in this game, and many classes and builds and the current speed of gameplay support that.

    Blowing your enemy up before they react doesn't mean they're unskilled, it means that your reflexes and ability to piano all your keys fast enough to 100-0 them are better than theirs.

    Its kind of like the old "APM=Skill" myth from RTS games.

    Thats some nice mental gymnastics right there
