  1. Hello, noticed that the 10 daily point achievement (after completing 3 tasks), aren't added anymore to my total achievement points, they are stuck at 23.468 and do not move anymore.

Is this a bug? If this is a bug please fix it and add my lost point to my total achievement points. This is already a week that i have this bug.Thank you.

ps: This bug emerged after the "end of dragon" launch patch.

  2. This is the error i get everytime when the game crash on exit:

    --> Crash <--Assertion: m_context->shaderArray[m_shaderId] == thisFile: ......\Engine\Gr\Dx9\Dx9ShaderBinary.cpp(248)App: Gw2-64.exePid: 1044BaseAddr: 000000013F450000ProgramId: 101Build: 105340When: 2020-08-09T19:44:17Z 2020-08-09T21:44:17+02:00Uptime: 0 days 0:13:35Flags: 0DumpFile: Crash.dmp

  3. The Gw2-64.exe happens to me but not starting up the game, just when i exit to desktop. Anyway this is something that only the developers can fix since it happens after the last patch and last hotfix didn't solve the issue. We have to wait for another hot fix, just report the error to the devs if the error window pop-up (like in my case) so they can locate more fast the issue.

It simply keep going on "login loop", happens with every browser.

It's been happening few ago, but i tought it was just a temporary issue, now i see it's still there :\

Hello, I found a solution for my system, it was the wrong date, that do not match with the current world wide date. Open the windows date/clock and manually fix it solve the issue for me and other SSL websites now open correctly too, no more infinite loop at log-in.A lot of people do not care about such trivial thing like pc date but some website that use SSL need the correct timezone to work properly.

This solve the loop log-in i had, hopefully it work for someone else too.

ps: I do not use automatic internet syncronization about date and clock, infact i disable the windows time service entirely, i prefer enter it manually and store it into the bios cmos, just remember to to edit it correctly otherwise some SSL websites fail to load.

  5. Hello, had the same issue, after a while i found the cause, at least for me.It was wrong date for my system, some weeks ago i reset the cmos of my pc and i put manually the date in the bios but i did a mistake and so the current date and the date of my pc were different, infact the support webpage and some other ssl websites return an error or an infinite loop while log-in. Changing the date to match my timezone, and all now is working. In my pc theJust want to report this as possible solution to the log-in loop, expecially for people who do not use the automatic clock and date syncronization like me (aka windows time service).

  6. In my case the black screen issue was due to the bios settings, but indeed was my personal case, it can be also the nvidia drivers or something else.

I did different tests, changed the PSU (750w), but the issue persist, then cpu heatsink and reset the bios to default. In the bios i restore everything on default AUTO values, apart of course ram that need XMP profile to work at 2666 and disable MCE ( a sort of motherboard overclock that i do not use for just 3-4 fps).I also replace last nvidia drivers with the preovious and stable version (i've 1660 Super gpu) that were for my card the 441.08. My monitor is a 60Hz ips, my os Win 7 x64.

Regarding the heatsink, i think it worked well but is something i did just to be 100% more safe since the noctua U12A had issues fitting well into the socket, it hit the socket metal enclosure protection and so it was not perfectly aligned, so i aslo replace it with my old heatsink that cover only the IHS of the cpu (Intel 9700k).

These things i did help to solve the crashes while playing, at least for now, so before do some drastic hardware changes try such things before, it can help and do the trick, but indeed the game engine is so bad optimized, even for modern hardware, that i can't exclude some compatibilities while your system is perfectly fine.

here is the problem: ANET KEEPS CREATING ASSETS AND MAP DESIGN THE ENGINE CANNOT HANDLE.

i think the map designers, modelers, artist, whoever needs to be reminded: "hey guys.. remember we have a very old engine. keeps the map simple and keep the polygon count down.." :)

Yes, i'm aware of such issues, but since they can't change much about the old engine, they can bypass such issues with more options to reduce the load of the cpu, draw distance is a huge factor for fps, having a slider to increase the fog or reduce the distance of the landscape can improve the performance since less polygons are loaded.

The GUI is another thing that need a tweak since is heavy and bad optimized, i lose about 10 fps when the party bar is filled with people for metas, this is something that should never happens, we need more options to make the whole GUI more simple and light.

These are things that devs can easily do without modify the core of the engine, expceially they can help during the meta events when a lot of people gather in the same area without sacrificing the number of model on the screen (that unfortunately have the side effect to hide the monsters and bossess too).

  8. Hello, playing this game since day-1 launch back in 2012, i noticed over the years that performance decrease drastically, expecially in the new maps and even using modern hardware. Doing some tests i noticed that one of the major causes are draw distance and the GUI.

In some early 2012 maps, where there are less polygons and more fogs, fps indeed boost, GUI also impact heavy the fps, expecially the group interface on the left when you join a large commander raid, infact hiding it with ctrl+h increase a lot the performance, you immediately feel the smoothness even in crowd areas.Hiding some parts of the GUI don't have any effect because, they are only hide not removed, so these new options are useless, just for screen cleaning.

Indeed another factor is people on the screen, but moving the slider to reduce people and armor quality result in monsters and expecially bosses to disappear too, so keeping these values to medium (or low maximum) is mandatory.

My suggestion for devs is simple:

    1) Add in the graphic settings a slider to reduce drastically the DRAW DISTANCE of the landscape, or in alternative add a FOG slider to further lower polygons of far objects and background elements. LOD don't impact much fps.

    2) Rewrite the GUI and made it more simple, light and less demanding, expecially the group window. When i'm doing metas and some bosses, join a large group commander with 30+ people decrease my fps by a huge 5-6 fps margin. The loss in performance is heavy.

Also please, let all the GUI elements to be movable and resizable, let us decide to hide conditions and boons but leave on the screen the CC bar of monsters, and so on. Make it more light, more customizable.

Said so, i think these 2 parts of the game, draw diastance and GUI, can really improve a lot the performance of the game without sacrificing NPC and other playersto disappear, and make it more enjoyable expecially for people without a super modern pc.

My 2 cents as a old player, thanks you.

I'm using often gpu-z to to monitoring GPU clock, temps and fan speed. My gpu boost clock raise from 1470 (before) to 1950 (now). Yesterday after the patch i hear my fans spin more loud than usual, checking with this tool i notice an increase of temperature from 43 to 52-53.53 is still EXTREMELY good for GPU/CPU, might be some glitch introduced with patch or some other issue but still, you can always limit your clock/power limit/fans or something, though if you're below 65-70c they're still great temps.

Don't think u can actually make an option to back to previous cpu/gpu utilization when it's the minority of people that have the problem and it might not even be a game issue sometimes since most people who are reporting this aren't giving the full picture, might be a different map, graphic settings, different amount of players on screen etc, literally every single patch i see there's a few people that complain about worse performance and it just solves itself after a bit or it was a user mistake.

Well, i have a Zotac GTX 1660 Super, so temps are extremely good with this card since it have a low TDP, a good heatsink and decent twin fans, is indeed not a extremely hard issue, but can be appreciated if we can have an option to revert such changes and let the user decide, because not everyone use the same settings and hardware, so for someone can be a good thing, but for someone else can be a bad change.I prefer the previous mode since i don't have any noticeable improvement but only a more loud and warm pc. As a solution that working for now and decrease the warm issue is changing high performance mode to adaptive mode in the nvidia settings.

Anyway, having options and customizations is the way to go.

Yes, you are right at 100%.I'm using often gpu-z to to monitoring GPU clock, temps and fan speed. My gpu boost clock raise from 1470 (before) to 1950 (now). Yesterday after the patch i hear my fans spin more loud than usual, checking with this tool i notice an increase of temperature from 43 to 52-53.

While is good that the game can distribute better the load between gpu and cpu, this can be a good thing if FPS can improve, but overall fps are the same with the difference that now i have my pc and gpu more hot.

    Make no sense.

Would be appreciated to have an option to back to previous gpu/cpu utilization. Yes, fps were bad before, but since the difference is negligible i prefer that my pc run more cool.

  11. Hello, i'm a bit sursprised that after so much time there isn't yet an option to decrease the field of view of the game, one of the reasons the game lags so much in some areas is because the engine load even very far objects and textures.Another possible fix is to add an option fo increase the fog, to "dissolve" into 2 colors the shape of far landscape and objects.

Atm, to increase the fps lost during events i need to decrease the graphic settings to low and the number fo players on the screen to low too, so i think that decrerasing the distance to draw the landscape and related structures can have a huge impact on performance without sacrificing so much the graphic.

My pc is a i7-9700K @ 4.6 Ghz, 16 Gb ddr4 and a RTX 2060 Super, during big events my fps drop to 5-6 fps unless i decrease the options i mentioned above, but is very sad not be able to see other players and only their green tags.

    Thanks.
