  1. BP that's an old one haha. For the pass. It certainly helps we've played together a long time. I'm one of the newer members and I've been in vT since 2014 I think haha. Don't discourage them! I need content. I'd still take soulreaping over curses. Soulreaping is too value in scourge since it effects all f abilities. And with healing scourge you can get +10% healing from it. For scourge, I still recommend taking the lower punishment cd over barrier on shade use since it really makes a difference. In blood magic if you're using transfusion take the rez well trait (first tier top) since it allows you to rez pretty much anyone. I would use a second stunbreak over the snake ability for skills as well. I don't know what runes are best, but I suspect that monk or mercy are better than scourge runes and should be relatively cheap.
  2. Barrier can get up to 8k if you hit 5, and it pairs well with abrasive grit imo. But it's also a huge unblockable aoe that is a base 10s poison so it's especially nice on downs with how oppressive rezzing is atm. I usually choose that or poison cloud depending. Ah didn't notice he was using Lightning Rod until I watched the video again and saw the small dazes and stuff which inflicted Weakness.Would yu have lost if he was FA?How does this build fare against hard all in bursts in general? Yeah, it isn't a usual choice for the weapon set. I would've thought he was fa if I hadn't fought him before. A good FA player would kill me I think. If I'm using weakening shroud it's probably closer. This one would've been using ether heal, which cleanse like 5 condis over the channel, so if he's fa and keeps that I've gotta really focus on interrupting that. It's winnable but probably 65-35 ele favored maybe worse though I haven't done a lot of scourge duels since the patch tbh. I haven't done a ton of duels against burst since the patch tbh. My expectation is you'd probably do better than expected, but you're susceptible to cc combos if you waste a stunbreak due to the CDs. And it's punishing if you get knocked/moved out of your shade and get cc'ed. But if you can get decent weakness uptime and force their stunbreaks you can burst them down as well with condis.
  3. Scourge without support in small scale isn't a completely popular choice. For exactly your second point. But I agree it fills its role extremely well and imo is stronger without a support than people think, mainly cause it scales to fight sizes really well. Scourge is definitely the best example too since especially since the shade change burst and cc eats you up. You can live through them now and as long as you have a moment to get elite and a shade off you have a chance to recover. That ele mainly lost cause his build wasn't bursty enough tbh. Which is cause he relies on lightning rod (and wasn't taking fa) but he was using scp/f not the imo better d/f for that trait.
  4. As Nimon said as well, the exact gear can depend on your group. If youre targeting full support I'm less familiar with the exact stats. I usually get to around 26k hp and then have a healing power target in mind. For full support it'd probably be 750-1k healing power but other would know better than me there. And new video is out. I've mostly settled on a build so I'll post it soon.
  5. Glad you have been enjoying scourge and welcome to wvw. One note for scourge (at least at the <5 scale which can still relate to your group size) is that positioning is key and will come with playing more. So don't be worried if you feel like you could be more effective, necro and scourge in a lot of ways is about staying alive and knowing your dmg will add up over time and this will win fights. So the major victory is surviving in the fights as long as possible. Hmm. As far as build, it depends on how your group plays in a lot of ways. If you're finding yourself all moving together like a mini 20 man guild would your build will differ from if you play more like a traditional roaming group. And will also depend on your comp you typically run. For skills, I think the larger groups you can drop spectral armor for scourge portal (if you are able to coordinate team movement through it and use it effectively), corrupt well (always a good choice), or spectral walk (just don't juke out your own group with it). I'm not a big fan of spectral grasp, since I find it's extremely lackluster in fights you actually need to work to win in and where you aren't already at an advantage. Any of the above options are possibilities for this slot, but grasp can stay if you want as well. In my experience, I would recommend apothecary/dire mix if you're wanting to support over plaguedoctor. The concentration is a bit of a wasted stat on necro and you might as well dump that into more healing and more Condi dmg. If you're planning on supporting, especially in smaller groups, I strongly recommend blood magic over curses. This would make you support who also does dmg instead of dmg who also does support. More damaging I like a tb/vipers mix. But you can always go dire/tb mix if you're going condi and want more survivability. But at the start you can go full dire and add in more power/precision as you get comfortable. For traits, I always recommend the lower punishment CDs over the barrier on shade use. Your heal, stunbreak, and elite are all great abilities and it gives you lower CDs and more dmg. As for getting the most out of scourge in wvw, that can be trickier. And honestly at sizes above 5 ppl I'm certainly less experienced than a lot of people out there. Part of it depends on how your group operates. For my group size, the general rule is scourge dictates where everyone else can go and the fb uses these paths to support the scourge. So usually in fights I make a lot of positioning calls if I'm on scourge. This isn't always going to translate to larger groups though. And as you get comfortable in wvw you'll notice playing around teammates on necro is huge and is a big difference between a good and average necro. Scourge is different than most necro specs, since despite having a lot of the same common issues with reaper and core, scourge has a lot of options open to it at any given point. And to play it well when you're outnumbered (in my admittedly biased option) takes time and practice. And even if your playstyle is different than mine or someone else's, doesn't mean you're wrong. It's just different interpretations of the class.
  6. With the patch coming out, I had told myself to actually give scourge another chance after the shade change. While it's relatively early on (and I can't predict how the meta will shift after future changes) I believe scourge has a place again in roaming. I'll post an updated build once I have more than one day back playing scourge and after testing a few things out. But here's a video. While I acknowledge that people will point out low ranks on opponents (turns out the I can't demand high ranks engage us) firebrands in party (of which Ranno is playing symbol brand) and the other necro (playing core power) as reasons why the video is a poor representation of the ability. But feel free to test out scourge yourself and let me know how it feels. As always feedback/comments/rants are welcome.
  7. Since I've started to play rev again I figured I'd post my roaming vids here. Feedback is always welcome. Build for each video is either in the description or the comments section.
  8. Turned ?.. it started as that when you look at the initial list. I found it adequately modest to give herself a bump last. Most peeps wouldn't bother with the list at all. Oh another self entitled "gamer gurl" , that makes much more sense. Trying to get some props from the washed up vt crew. Then tosses her name in at the end. Let me finish by saying the top 4 on your list avoided me for years unless they was paired up. So keep glammin over the cherry picked noob killing streams. Most of us know better. Have a magical day sugar. Lmao. What? is it.. popcorn time?? Also ye vT seems a little overrated but they mad about it so they just disliked my new vid of me killing them on stream lel. Funny stuff! It is pretty funny. I won't lie. Lose 10+ times when you come at us with 2 while stream sniping for over an hour thirsting for a win (which well freely admit we had 3 so whatever). Lose the 3v3 when you call in a friend. Lose the 1v1 in a soulbeast versus reaper matchup. Finally get a W after pretending to not attack and be chill and put it in your video. Now that is funny. > @moutzaheadin.4029 said: Turned ?.. it started as that when you look at the initial list. I found it adequately modest to give herself a bump last. 9. New video is out. Mostly core necro (80%) with some power rev. Same build as before.
  10. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/531694088 No youtube video this Sunday cause I already put out a few this week. But if anyone was interested in the live comms/a longer fight (though we did have a number of pugs) this clip was a good north camp fight.
  11. oh wow that shroud 2 shadow step stomp is a whole new level of creativity. And great use of the Lich fear + lifesteal! Looks really effective in a group fight. Shroud 2 is great for stomping thieves. The issue is it doesn't last the full stomp duration so you have to hope they port early. You can see here I ported before the stomp finished cause otherwise I lose the port option. A stomp like that on an ele is extremely unlikely (I'd told a few vT people I was trying to do it and we weren't convinced it was possible even if on paper it is). The fear is mainly why lich has a place. The lifesteal is also really nice especially with the accompanied vitality transfer it gives. I was using Lich in the past but have since swapped to Plaguelands for the area denial. They're both pretty mediocre for power builds tbh ( and I mostly play core power ), but Lich is nice for the mind games. I find if people don't at least back off a little bit, you still get a nice health boost and Stability to buy time for Shroud cooldown(s). Plaguelands is particularly nice for the panic inducing condition bomb with Blinds and Poison being some of those conditions, two very nice debuffers. It actually does decent power damage as well if you can lock them in it, or if they try to face tank it. Flesh Golem is probably the best elite for core ( not that I think you need to be taking advice here, just making conversation ), but I personally find it too unreliable.Lich has a surprise factor going for it right now. I completely agree though. Plaguelands is the most consistent elite, golem should be best (but the cast time for use is meh and it feels like it just gets blown up whenever I've tried to recently). Usually I go plaguelands and if I'm duo with loyal on his soulbeast we combo plaguelands and his binding roots elite. Gives us a nice punish on enemies.

  13. Another video of mostly necro. I swapped to spite over blood to test it out. Lich is mainly for the memes but 4s fear isn't the worst.
  14. Been roaming around on a symbol brand for a few days and wanted to put together a video. Be easy on me, it's my first two days of Firebrand since I've only ever played core before this. Build is in the description.
  15. I think the basic template works for every condi rev build since so much is tied to torment runes giving the sustain so you can change a lot besides that. Since my build is more power/burst focused than other stat sets I find the additional dmg more beneficial. Figures anet wouldn't give an underwater version. Just give it 3 years. The other choice is to use the invocation trait that gives more energy when swapping legends (if you're below a certain level). I prefer the ability to swap burst with procs but this is another option.
  16. i think its hilarious u kids talking shit about Cake Walk. u wouldnt say this shit to him at lan, hes jacked. not only that but he wears the freshest clothes, eats at the chillest restaurants and hangs out with the hottest dudes. yall are pathetic lol Anyways, nice vid.
  17. Haha thanks! I don't think others agree though, I get more "gg hacker reported" whispers on this than any other build I've ever played. Of course, we're all genetic replicas of Xan in vT haha.> @Virdo.1540 said: Haha thanks! Got banned mid fight for that one :( I tried core rev right after they made the change to that elite. The pros of it is the added sustain and the stab access is nice. However I have felt that the dmg increase from renegade is well worth the sustain loss. You lose the dmg (condi and ferocity) from the stacks and you lose the ability to have perma 25 might in fights which is huge. The bombardment skill isn't truly the reason I take renegade over core but its a nice bonus on top of the dmg increase. Core rev works well though, I've seen a few condi ones out there recently.
  18. Got around to playing grieving renegade while roaming recently and put together a few videos. I haven't changed the build, so if you want the link it's in the previous videos where I play this. Second video does have a few fb clips but the majority of the clips are grieving renegade. Hope y'all enjoy.
  19. I disagree. I didn't say they were wrong,Only that most of these people probably are not qualified to even vote on this subject. I agree.I won't disagree with that. The truth is mostly that hard counters aren't a thing. From my experience too many variables can go into a fight to make any matchup between classes "unwinnable." If you allow for every class to build swap between builds freely then most "hard counters" stop being so. Even at equal skill levels. Which is mostly why I didn't vote.
  20. Those stats can work for all three specs for guardian roaming. I would be tempted to just go full marauder as well if you have the trinkets. Firework runes are pretty much bis for guardian (imo) power builds. You'll be fine with those stats though you might find more hp is nice, I'd just play around a bit on each spec and tinker while upgrading to ascended.
  21. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lesser_Spinal_Shivers As you can clearly see, damage in competitive modes has been cut by 30%. I wouldnt really mind removing ALL passive traits, including warr autoproc stances, ele stone resonance autoproc, ancient seeds and the list goes on. But, seriously. Is lesser spinal shivers THAT much of a problem? Necros on blobs dont run it. Core necros are condi in their vast majority. The occasional roaming reaper is honestly giving you THAT much of a hard time due to this?Personally, I believe other things are in more dire need of attention. Stealth, mass and constant CC, skills that cc you for many secs and do tons of damage, that kind of stuff I mean IT depends what you run. IT triggers on the hit that gets you Below 50% not the hit when you Below 50%. If it rips 3 Boons...which is most likely in An AVG fight with this meta IT Will (crit)hit about 6k-30% =>4.2kSpinal shivers proc can't crit. So it certainly isn't doing more than 3k. This thread overall is amusing. Let's keep snagging traits/utilities necro has cause they're the only things that counter boon meta.
  22. Very nice use of the fear wall! messes up opponents more often than not. And what happened to that fight against the CD mirage and thief at the 29 mins mark? That Mirage looks like Qianye! One of the strongest roamers in NA.I have almost never seen her lose in a 1 vs 1 encounter since I got to know her. People seem to enjoy making my fear ring placements looks genius by running into it themselves. In that fight loyal finished off the mirage and then the thief disengaged and got gunned down by loyal. And another video is out. At the risk of saturating people with videos Id rather put one out every week to show what roaming looks like on Sundays.
  23. Just another video. Build is same as above (and in the description). A few 1v1s in there, mostly against holos. Honestly the matchup is pretty Necro favored but still fun to lock someone down with corrupts.
  24. Put together another video. Build: https://bit.ly/37iawL1
