  1. There is nothing wrong with this legend, Salvation traits or healing orbs. Learning to play it correctly always brings an unmistakable presence to the field and with practice is nearly impossible to defeat in WvW solo or group. I'd be happy to help anyone who wants some tips.

And i think you are going with your heal herald in T4 (even though even there ppls won't take you as a healer) .

I do T4s and recs around reset almost everyday posted with any DPS welcome, or with a full group of people who catch me before I get started.

  3. Yeah I see this all the time. Despite having youtube videos of how fast and smooth runs are with a Herald healer, it goes both ways. People leave instantly when they don't see a renegade in the group, and those who stay end up pleasantly surprised to have more alacrity than what a common renegade provides. If you're not another brick in their meta wall, then you're judged and discarded.

I built my Herald healer from the ground up when I was first introduced to fractals a little over a year ago, and never looked back. No problems healing low DPS groups without a firebrand (aegis/stability/quickness) in fractals and strikes either (going to upload those videos on youtube sometime this week). I learned quick that bringing DPS to fractals as an experiment to see what it's like to depend on a healbrand that players have become impatient from how frequent wipes happen, and it became more clear why more people I meet want to regularly with my healer.

I know this post will confuse a lot of people, but there's always youtube.

  4. A couple things I found helpful are:

Do not change builds while mounted.

If you have your builds bound to hotkeys, press the hotkey for the desired build twice before going into combat. This will usually correct the placements of skills on both legends.

After making any adjustments to a build in the hero panel, switch the legends out with ones you don't use and swap them back. I noticed that sometimes changing traits can cause skill placements to revert back to where double tapping the build hotkey doesn't fix it. At which point I find some time to delete the build and make it again and that fixes it.

In fact if your tablet is in place, ventari deals with being stunned quite well, because it's skills are instant.

This is why I've had no issues running as a hybrid condi healer with Mallyx and Ventari herald in WvW for the past couple years and post patch. PA is uniquely supportive, the stunbreak is just a bonus imo. Those who need panic button stunbreak playstyles should stick to the other legends.

  6. This terrain issue with Ventari's Will also occurs in the Siren's Reef fractal when attempting to move the tablet from the shore onto the deck of the pirate ship in the final area. It may or may not relate to the distance of which the tablet travels, but the tablet occasionally can be moved onto the ship's deck if placed onto the ramp before trying to move it onto the ship.

  7. As a main revenant with builds that are primarily designed with Ventari, this has been one of my favorite core builds with hammer:

It surely has turned some tables during some fights, especially blob vs blob. Using the Mallyx elite during Phase Smash gives you a long distance blind/chill/torment, and if timed right you can swap to Ventari when landing Phase Smash to trigger the Sigil of Hydromancy. Works well with Song of the Mists too. The tablet also remains where the Phase Smash has landed, but takes practice to get it just right.

Harassing from a distance is easy with being able to transfer the torment (Sigil of Generosity) built up from Replenishing Despair while maintaining Mallyx elite (also adds leeching effect to projectiles) or Ventari bubble for long periods of time, and using Ancient Echo to replenish energy while camping on a legend. Mace and sword for when enemies get too close or to chase. Staff is a good substitute though, for survivability purposes but would sacrifice a lot of DPS.

Also gives nearly permanent alacrity to siege while using Ancient Echo with pulsing tablet alacrity at 50% boon duration, or protecting siege with long duration bubble from thrown disablers.

If preferred, the stats on hammer can switch to Magi (with expertise infusions) if you looking for a little more supportive heal power. :)

  8. I've spent many hours tweaking gear and traits to come to the conclusion that Revenant makes sense when picking an offensive and defensive legend to use alternatively. I can't say much for PVP since there isn't as much freedom for stat distribution, but in WvW and PvE it seems to make the most out of available energy. I also found that using an offensive and defensive weapon set supplement legends in this way, making the double-edged fact of using legends a whole lot more forgiving (which means everything when it comes to energy consumption).

Aside from weapon skills being very positional, the only problem I've had is that many traits are actually too good to sacrifice which makes it harder for me to decide which builds I like playing more.
